Tied at 13 in the opening set, Forster started a 7-0 run with a thunderous kill. Hendry followed it up with a point of her own before an attack error by the visitors forced a time-out.

After returning from the break, Forster served up an ace. Hendry and Hotson slammed home kills before a miscue by LU made it 20-13.

Although the Bearcats made it a three-point contest, Kassy Johannsen and Carroll put away kills to make it 22-17. Two straight errors by the Bearcats and a kill from Johannsen gave the first set to the Pacers.

USC Aiken dropped the second set and fell behind 12-6 in the third frame before Forster sparked the team with a kill. Carroll registered an ace to make it 12-8. The Pacers knotted the score at 15-15 when Hendry slammed home a pass from Teelon.

Trailing 20-19, Forster tied the frame with a point. An error by LU gave head coach Glenn Cox's team a lead it would not relinquish. Hendry recorded a kill before Forster split the defense with an ace. Another point from Hendry made it 24-20. After the visitors scored a pair of points, Alicia Hines found a hole between three individuals along the front line for the winning tally.

The fourth stanza was tied at 10-10 before Hines and Hendry answered with back-to-back kills. Hendry notched two kills and an error by the Bearcats pushed the margin to 15-11 in favor of the home team.
