Thanks to a leaked brochure we get the first chance to see the next generation 2014 Subaru Forester. Even though this is the 2014 for the Japanese market, Subaru is not expected to make any major changes to the global model. The 2014 Subaru Forester measures 4595 mm in length, 1795 mm in width and 1695 mm in height. This is 35 mm longer, 15 mm wider and 20 mm wider than the current generation. Its wheelbase is 25 mm longer, measuring 2640 mm. The 2014 Subaru Forester promises a 505-liter luggage compartment, which is 55-liter more than the current version. Subaru will sell the 2014 Forester with a 2.0-liter boxer DOHC engine, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The 2014 Forester is also going to be available with a 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged engine, which is mated to a CVT transmission.
As you can expect, the new Forester (2014) is going to have and AWD system.
In terms of design, the Forester (2014) shows a new front grille and a new bumper, but its headlights seem to have the styling as the current model. Its rear shows a new set of taillights and a roof spoiler. We'll have more details about the 2014 Subaru Forester as soon as they're available.
