Got a scoop request? An anonymous tip you’re dying to share? Send any/all of the above to askausiello@tvline.com
Question: Had Castle not been cancelled, how was the show going to explain Stana Katic’s absence as Kate next season? You previously (and ominously) hinted that none of the options being bandied about were good. —Bobbi
Ausiello: According to sources, one scenario had Kate surviving the season-ending shootout, but everyone — Rick included — would think her dead. Why the ruse? I divulged that little tidbit in the latest episode of Ask Ausiello Live!
Question: Were you shocked/surprised with any of the cancellations announced on May 12? I know viewers were, but I’m wondering if the bloodletting even managed to get to you and others who are “in the business.” —Amy
Ausiello: The Nashville axing took me by surprise (primarily because of this), but the Castle cancellation floored me. I thought at the very least ABC would pull a Bones and bring it back for an abbreviated final season, especially after its sister studio went to all that behind-the-scenes trouble (and sustained so much heat) to make a ninth season cost-effective.
Question: Is there any hope for Supergirl’s Kara and Winn/#Karwin shippers? —Tony
Ausiello: Jeremy Jordan, who plays Winn, was glad to see the CBS-turned-CW series dial down his character’s puppy-dog pining — “I don’t know if we need to see it in every episode, like we did at the beginning of the season” — but says, “I certainly think that it’s not over.” Nor will “losing the girl” get any easier. “I think it’s going to be little difficult for him to him to see basically his two best friends together,” Jordan says of the Kara/James coupling. After all, “He and James are super-close now, and they all work at the same place!”
Question: Any scoop about Supergirl Season 2? And when I say “any scoop” I mean: Will we lose Cat Grant now that show is moving to Vancouver? —Bruna
Ausiello: You may lose her for an episode or two (or three… since there’s no way Calista Flockart will be moving to Canada full-time), but I highly doubt you’ll lose her completely. CW prez Mark Pedowitz confirmed that Flockhart “wants to continue with the show.” Now all sides just need to figure out the scheduling.
Question: Are Shelby’s parents actually dead on Quantico? —Derek
Ausiello: Let’s ask EP Josh Safran: “It is open to interpretation. She definitely tells that to Alex, and then Miranda is told by an agent that that story checks out. But whether that story is true or not is something that we definitely will be looking into.”
Question: Any hints on who is going to die in this week’s season finale of Chicago P.D.? —Dayna
Ausiello: You are, Dayna. As co-star Marina Squerciati predicts, “Oh my God, when you see the ending, you’re doing to die — not once, but twice! It is the worst, most horrible, gut-wrenching, dramatic ending ever.”
Question: Do you have any scoop on Grimm? —Jordan
Ausiello: David Giuntoli is expanding his role on the show. The actor tells Kim Roots that he will step behind the camera to direct his first episode — Season 6’s third installment. “They’re moving it up to the first [to be shot], so I have time to prep it,” he tells TVLine, adding that during his time on the show, “I’ve been so compelled by what is going on behind the scenes. I know the show as well as anyone else.”
Question: Please tell me we haven’t see the last of Penny on Grey’s Anatomy. She became my favorite this season. —Andrew
Ausiello: Seeing as how she and Callie are sort of a package deal, I can confirm that we’ve seen the last of Penny. For now, anyway. Shonda Rhimes left the door wide open for Sara Ramirez to make the occasional guest appearance as Callie shuttles Sophia back and forth between New York and Seattle, and I suppose Penny — and her portrayer Samantha Sloyan — could tag along on one of those trips. I wouldn’t hold my breath, though.
Question: I’m going through Fuller House withdrawals. What can you tell me about Season 2? —Joyce
Ausiello: OK, Joyce, here goes: D.J.’s getting another new man in her life when the Netflix comedy returns, but this one is no threat to either of her current suitors — because he’s gay! (But don’t tell D.J. that. She thinks they’re hitting it off, and we don’t have the heart to upset her.)
Question: So excited that Reign is getting a fourth season! Any casting scoop? —Jennifer
Ausiello: Well, we already told you about a few new faces coming to the CW series in Season 4, but one more couldn’t hurt: The show is currently casting for the role of Leesa, Catherine’s “plain Jane” daughter. Despite her considerable power, Leesa is the least favorite of Catherine’s children, and underneath her dark sense of humor is a legitimate desire for her mother’s affections. That said, you can expect her to inflict plenty of her own “emotional pain” upon her arrival.
Question: I’m a huge Gotham fan and my favorite character is Selina Kyle. I would love to see her get her own arc next season and more screen time. Any idea if this might happen?? —Z.M.
Ausiello: I don’t know about Selina getting her own arc, but Matt Mitovich says that the final image from tonight’s Season 2 finale in part hints at possibly interesting times ahead for Bruce Wayne’s No. 1 gal. BONUS SPOILERS: Looking ahead to Season 3, a trio of new roles are being cast, each possibly marking the arrival of another DC Comics character. The series regulars being added include a villain who “learns people’s secrets and manipulates them to do his bidding” (which sounds like the previously rumored arrival of The Mad Hatter) and a young villainess “who uses her sexuality to entrap men” (a la Joan Collins’ Siren on the 1960s Batman series?). There’s also the recurring role of an ambitious young journalist named “Valerie” — which we’d like to think is casting-call code for Vicki Vale, though her late-20s age range makes her markedly older than Master Bruce.
Question: Can you hack into TNT or corner the showrunners and give us some scoop (preferably hopeful) on Rachel’s fate on The Last Ship? This 10-month hiatus has been long to wait without some relief from that cliffhanger. —Meghan
Ausiello: Can you wait 10 months… and 90 seconds? Because that’s how far into the two-hour Season 3 premiere (airing June 12) that Rachel’s fate is revealed. (Also, having seen the first hour, I can say that she is not the only Nathan James hero whose mortality you should be worried about.)
Question: I know Awkward‘s future is kind of up in the air right now, but if Tuesday’s finale is really the last episode, will we be satisfied? –Ashley
Ausiello: Honestly, Ashley, I’m not sure I know you well enough to say whether you’ll be satisfied. But I can assure you that the one-hour episode works overtime to tie up the series’ loose ends, especially those of a romantic nature. And for those fans who refuse to give up hope for a sixth season, there’s definitely a sense that these characters’ stories are continuing — but in what form?
This AAnd That…
♦ Something besides patients may have gotten cut toward the end of Grey’s Anatomy‘s 12th season: Martin Henderson told TVLine in April that “more information comes out in the second-to-last episode” about whether Owen’s sister could be alive. But, um, we don’t remember any new intel being revealed. Do you?
♦ If you weren’t already convinced that the role of Augustus that The Walking Dead is casting is really Ezekiel aka the “king” of The Hilltop community that eventually joins in the Alexandrians’ war against Negan, here’s a little extra proof: We hear the show is now looking for an actor to play Rogers, a straight-talking horseman who sounds a lot like His Highness’ right-hand man, Richard. (Fearless prediction: Next they’ll cast Ezekiel’s tiger.)
♦ Look for Jane the Virgin to tackle the A-word in Season 3. Given that Xo really doesn’t want to have a baby, especially not one belonging to Esteban, you better believe that the abortion option will be broached. “I think that Jane can discuss that with, hopefully, a sort of candidness and honesty that we think that it deserves,” executive producer Jennie Urman tells TVLine. “We, obviously, have somebody in our family, Alba, who would not be in favor of it, and Jane and Xo would feel differently. So we’ll have to see who wins out.”
That’s a wrap! Please send questions, comments and anonymous tips to askausiello@tvline.com. (Additional reporting by Charlie Mason, Andy Swift and Vlada Gelman)
My guess is that they planned that scenario in order to replace Katic with a new actor. So what about the real scoop – why did ABC want to get rid of her? Money? Fillion’s demands? Or something else?
Replacing Katic would not have gone over very well.
Your right there. It would have actually gone overall more than likely a lot worse than her being essentially fired did.
The worst thing is that she might have been replaced by another actress, because ABC had already fired Stana, so she wouldn’t have come back.
That is what my thought was as well. Even if they asked her she could have told them to pound sand considering how everything went down. That’s why overall I trust no one that would have been involved if it had happened. At this point they have lost all credibility and respect from many.
They would have likely needed to cast an actor to show “Beckett” in profile and from behind. Like this is the 1990s or something. 😒
And this is why cancellation was the best option.
I’m going with Beckett was the dreaded Loksat. Hawley and TPW had a bad enough season 8 that I wouldn’t put it past them. And it would complete the destruction of Beckett’s character that started with 6×23. Bonus, it would probably make NF very happy.
I feel it really happened a little down the line when Rick got tossed out of the 12th and started the PI thing. It just separated them too much.
When renewal for season 5 came up she and Nathan had discussed not signing because they were “tired” Well Nathan renew and she was ticked off … that is where all the bad blood started… then came demands of less screen time and she wanted to be able to do other projects same with him… IMO they did it to themselves… a shame…
As I understand it their original contracts were for five years, with a two year option that the Studio could activate without the need to renegotiate, if the Network renewed the show, which it did. Their contracts only needed to be renewed after S7, fillione was approached first as Number One on the call sheet as there wouldn’t have been any point talking to anyone else if he’d declined, and it was confirmed that Stana had also re-signed a month later, just before the S7 finale. Fillione failed to turn up for the first Friday’s filming of S6, reportedly because he wanted a shorter working week, so maybe he tried to bring about some changes to his original contract, even though it wasn’t up for renegotiation at that time.
Some people seem to think the rift happened in late 2012 when they would have been about half way through filming S5, because earlier in the year they did a Paleyfest where they still seemed very chummy but after that is when things seemed to get a little frosty, and it was towards the end of 2012 that Stana stopped accepting fan mail, with “security issues” being given as the reason, although there is no evidence that the two things are linked..
Where did all these rumours come from that they fought?!? Didn’t you see one of the writers from the show saying those were all just rumoured?!? All these “sure” statements people make sound as if they KNOW…. The first….and true….announcement was ABC wanted to BUDGET CUT….that was it! The actors – all of them – got along well. NO ONE could act out the chemistry that these actors had…ALL OF THEM! One thing ABC and their writers failed….one of many this last season…not giving time to each and every actor in the finale. They deserved a full hour, or at least a half hour, telling the story about what happened to ALL the actors – not just Castle and Beckett! The 2 detectives, the Mother, Daughter, Lanie were there from the beginning and deserved more! Even “Sir” who was there for some time….writers gave Castle and Beckett LESS THAN THIRTY SECONDS…the rest ZERO!
Bless this post! Its like when people thought Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski from Chuck had tension. They weren’t being photographed together enough. Or hanging out at Comic Con just the two of them. That literally means nothing! Bc years after Chuck has ended their still supporting each other by going to each others events and we still get new photos of them. Back to Nathan and Stana. Its the same kind of thing. Just bc they weren’t seen laughing together enough in the bloopers. Which is ridiculous. A lot of my favorite co-stars don’t get good bloopers together and i never for once think they have tension. Its stupid. Nathan and Stana are professionals. I’m sure they get along fine. They might not be close. But people who suggest that Nathan couldn’t handle working with Stana for another year so he got her fired? That’s the stupidest thing i’ve ever heard.
And YES. I wish we could have seen where the rest of the characters ended up. Not just Castle and Beckett.
Mary I hate to break it to you but things were not a rainbows and butterflies. NF did negotiate to only work at most 2 days an EP with her. It was confirmed by someone who was involved.
As for your statement of one of the writers saying it was just rumor the only writer I saw saying anything debunked a rumor about SK being a diva and difficult to work with. That’s writer was not the only one to stand up and say she was not an issue. Plus judging by behavior of some of the other cast on social media and the like its not as far fetched as people want to think.
If people want to think it was just a ‘budget’ decision then that’s fine. But as I have told others think about how this season played out for her. They systematicly destroyed 8 years of work SK put into Beckett. Made the show about Castle(did not work BTW) because he wanted it to shift to him as the focus. NF went out of his way when live tweeting to NOT say anything about SK or character but praised everyone else openly. MQ has made some questionable statements and only said something complementary about SK once she was essentially fired. I could go on with more examples but I don’t want this to be to long.
There is also info out there that there were sexism issues on the production.
As for the chemistry comment well SK did a better job of acting the part. NF looked more put out to even be doing the scenes than anything at times. So yes you can hate the person you work with but have off the charts chemistry.
Maybe ABC wanted to head off a big legal problem between her and Fillion?
The idea of Supergirl without Cat Grant for even a few episodes doesn’t fill me with joy, but so long as Calista doesn’t leave for good, I’m okay enough.
What’s going on with Limitless? Has it been cancelled? Are negotiations with other networks on going? Please, I love that show so much. I need to know!
CBS claims they’re trying to find a place for the show on another network (or streamer) and while it’s certainly possible that could work out – the odds are not in Limitless’s favour.
Supergirl- As long as Calista is there, even on a ‘part time’ basis, I’m happy with that. I would hate to see her gone from the show esp with its move to Vancouver. I’m sure she could fly up there and do her scenes for a few eps and fly back down.
Perhaps her husband could fly her there, and do a cameo? Yeah, in our dreams. Lol. Glad she’ll still be on the show, though. :-)
That would be so awesome! I was thinking they would surprise us with his cameo in season 1. There’s always hope for one in season 2. :)
Snce the show established that Harrison Ford is a real person in Supergirl’s universe he would have to play himself wouldn’t he? I’m not sure how that would fit in the show.
As for Supergirl, Calista Flockhart could go to Canada every few weeks to tape her scenes that could be spread out over several episodes.Plus the show could come with a reason why her character doesn’t haveto be in every episode next season.
Since Kara isn’t Cat’s asst, I think they have a good reason why Calista doesn’t have to be in every episode. Kara can be on assignment somewhere and report to her by phone/email, etc. But I’m still glad and hopeful they will work out something with Calista’s schedule.
At the end of the finale, Cat gave Kara a promotion that included her own office. We do not know what the promotion is, but we do know that she is no longer Cat’s assistant.
While that sounds good in theory, it also means that the scripts need to be written well in advance. That’s not always the easiest thing to do.
I hope to never see or hear about Penny Blake ever again. She was the worst thing to happen to Season 12 of Grey’s Anatomy and Callie Torres.
This. The question Andrew asked above makes me feel like we are watching 2 completely different shows.
I agree!!!!!
She was penny dreadful!
Funny, that’s exactly how I think about her. Worst actress ever!!!!
Same. She was the reason this was my least fave season of the show ever. And her and Callie were just really, really bad together. And based on Shonda’s comments, it seems like she not only left it open for guest appearances, but to come back full time if she wanted. And Shonda did a periscope and claims she would have put Callie and Arizona back together. I feel a little bit better Penny wasn’t supposed to be the planned endgame.
Lol I know right? Penny was so dreadfully boring and she took up all the screentime that should’ve been given to characters like Alex or even Richard and Bailey. So don’t want to see her again! But I do want to see Callie again though!
With Supergirl moving to the CW, I was hoping Winn was on his way out. He just isn’t needed, IMO. And it would be a huge blow to the show if Calista is on every other episode instead of every single episode.
…And James is needed in your opinion??
I would rather see James take a permanent leave of absence. I am tired of GB telling us we should ship this couple when I don’t see any spark with them. He is completely boring and his only job seems to be to tell Kara how much better she is then her cousin.
“According to sources, one scenario had Kate surviving the season-ending shootout, but everyone — Rick included — would think her dead. Why the ruse? I’ll divulge that little tidbit in the next Ask Ausiello Live! ”
Thank God the show got cancelled! That would have been even stupider than killing Beckett.
I’m sure the hundreds of people who now need to figure out how to pay their mortgages and educate/feed their kids are so glad you’re doing the Castle-cancellation happy dance rather than learning how to change the channel. All the people being so glad it ended are either completely lacking empathy or are flat out sick. Your fandom might matter to you, and I think we all want stories to be well-written, but these are lives, actual lives, being materially affected here. I guarantee you part of why Nathan kept signing on was not wanting to be responsible for all those jobs going away. He knows what it’s like from Firefly and other things. You don’t just decide to put people out of work because you’re getting artistically tired of being on the air for 8 seasons. If an actor leaves the show, you don’t burn all the sets down in protest.
To say that people lack empathy or are sick because they are releived the show was canceled is just flat out wrong.
And the the actress did not leave she was fired. Big difference.
I feel for the people who lost their jobs but it was happing now or a few EPs into S9(if it happened).
The direction the show was going was not working and in the end another season would have destroyed a creation that was rare in today’s TV environment. No one tuned in to watch him on his own rating proved that. The beckett light EPs were the lowest rated of the season. So in this case yes cancelation was the better option to uphold the dignity of the show itself. Personally if they had continued I would not have been able to even watch reruns because the show would have been destroyed overall for me. I’m not the only one that was in that boat.
People in show-biz know how transient it can be. And the behind-the-scenes folks will no doubt get jobs on upcoming shows.
I guarantee you’re deluded if you think that Nathan kept signing on because he felt responsible for all those jobs. Money makes the world go round, makes the world go round, makes the world go round…
I would have been okay with a season 9 where everyone thought Beckett was dead, then she magically comes back later in the season for a few episodes for a beautiful reunification.
—
But knowing the show runners from season 8, I could not have depended on them to tell consistently good stories or to tell that particular story in a good, satisfying way.
—
I’m still not over it. Is there a therapy group for Castle fans?
Ya it would be a little interesting like why would she fake her death loksat was over seems it would be really stupid lol and back to fans hating her
My guess is they’d throw another surprise element into Johanna Beckett’s murder. And somehow to keep Castle safe, she’d have to go on the run or something.
I like your idea about a Castle fans therapy group! I’ll sign in for sure
I honestly don’t think we would have seen Katic as Beckett ever again had the show been renewed. So there probably wouldn’t have been a satisfying reunion to fix an undoubtedly pathetic spin-off attempt in S9.
.
So, yes, cancellation was the best option.
I can’t believe any scenario in which she would fake her death and not tell Castle, especially after knowing how she felt when Castle disappeared for months at the beginning of season 7 (and how she promised to keep him in the loop on everything after they got back together in season 8). They made Kate act totally out of character in season 8, and having her do this in season 9 would have probably damaged her character beyond repair. Thank goodness the show was cancelled and they got their happily ever after before they drug Kate’s character through the mud even more… I don’t think my poor little heart could have handled a season 9. Oh, and sign me up for that therapy group!
Absolutely agree! Many of the fans were sick and tired of so many “ruses” keeping Kate & Rick apart! Why couldn’t they just let them be happy together? A “Moonlighting curse” is BS- We could have spent a few years happily watching them deal with typical family issues in their amusing non-typical Castle style! I for one LIKE to watch shows that are funny and mostly happy, instead of always so full of drama and upset. I occasionally watch Grey’s Anatomy, but get tired of all the soap opera angst all the time, so I often don’t watch…but Castle was a show I ALWAYS watched, and re-watched too (see what I did there, tee hee) :)
I wish!
I meant to say, I wish there was a therapy group, also.
It only took the Tanners 30 years to encounter a gay person in San Francisco. :D
Best comment here!
lmao
Castle: OMG that would have been awful! Worse even than killing Beckett! Thank God for the cancellation!!!
So true!!!
Have ABC and you guys not jerked the Castle fanbase around enough already! Thank God the show was cancelled.Without the Beckett character the show never would have gotten off the ground. And the fact that Fillion and the rest of the guys went along with Katic and Jones leaving for budget reasons was such a slap in the face not only to the women but to the millions of fans of the show will not be forgotten. It’s over so let us move on instead of you feasting on the carcass of a once fine show. The happiest event in this whole mess was seeing the rug pulled out from under Fillion and his ego after stating “I hope it will go on for years” sure he did as long as he was catered to I would have loved to have seen his face when he was cancelled!
This^
Very well stated.
THIS! All of THIS!!!
If the only way you could keep your job was for some of your coworkers to be fired, would you resign in protest, knowing you would cost a lot of other people their jobs as well by doing so? That’s what a lot of people seem to think Fillion should have done. It was a perfectly rational decision for him to go on with an altered show rather than no show at all, since those were the choices open to him. I really, truly don’t understand the venom directed at Fillion for acting like any logic person would.
Here’s the thing about that. The crew and such work for the studio so that argument is invalid. As for him he whether people want to believe it or not had a hand in putting the show in the position it was in. I’m not going to rehash details that have been brought up elsewhere(and verified by people involved). He wanted a show centered around him. It was pretty evident in how S8 and part of S7 played out and by at comments made by people. So people being upset with him is valid along with the studio and creative staff that let it happen. Considering what the overall premises was for the show, without either Castle or Beckett continuing should have been off the table. Simple as that.
No the crew does not work for the studio, but the specific production. Therefore when the pReduction is cancelled, the crew is unemployed. The jobs were resting on his shoulders. The 300+ jobs lost should be mourned or more so as the two everyone talks about.
As far as “those involved” verifying rumors floating around, there are plenty others “involved” with the show to verify the contrary. There are many stories out there about this whole situation. NONE of them are verified.
They do work for the studio and they will get picked up alot easier than people think. While yes its not ideal for them in all reality the end probably would have happened shortly after S9 would have started. And as for your people saying the contrary of things out there well I have not personally seen any of that. Trust me I looked for anyone saying it was bs and all I found was people who defended her and did not defend or debunk anything against him. I dont count what 1 person who overall has what appears to be hero worship as a reliable source of info.
It has been confirmed he had it in his contact to only work 2 days a EP with him. So its not far fetched to figure he would want her gone altogether for a S9.
Of course people already have their minds made up so they won’t look at what’s out there and will ignore what people confirm. And that’s fine but the confirmations are there if people are willing to look and see them.
The crew aren’t the only people involved. The rest of the actors, the writers, the producers would all lose their jobs. Sure, they’d probably find new jobs, but that wasn’t really my point. Fillion had absolutely no moral obligation to fall on his sword and quit just because Katic was fired, anymore than any of us would be obligated to do so for a coworker. It certainly wasn’t a “slap in the face” (although the actual idea of changing the show format could be considered one, I suppose. But if you’re faced with the options of “change your show” or “be cancelled”, which would you pick?)As to whose fault it was that the show’s direction changed, or whether or not Fillion/Katic weren’t getting along, all I’ve ever seen people produce as “proof” of their own particular theory is essentially “I read a reliable source and everyone else’s reliable source is wrong”, so I don’t really give a rip at this point. They’re adults who did their jobs; if they didn’t get along on set it didn’t show in the final product, which is all I’m interested in. If we were required to like all of our coworkers we’d all be in a heap of trouble.
I get the point you were trying to make I dont agree with it. I guess we will have to agree to disagree because the people I have seen put stuff out there were directly involved with the show in some form.
As a comparison though for me personally I did leave a job because of a situation that was morally wrong I was used to out someone and I didn’t realize that’s what was happening until it happened(one of my first jobs). Less than a month the later I had another job and had what I hope was a eye opening exit interview.
That’s why I think a persons integrity shows overall when a situation presentes itself. A lack of integrity was shown by many involved and not just him. But he was the one that could have stood up and tried to fix it and he did not. That shows a lack of integrity overall to me along with the childish behavior he presents in public. And the issues did show in the final product.
Again there should have been no discussion of continuing if they could not afford the whole cast. Of course when they brought in characters that were useless to the show overall it should have sent warning lights to everyone. And those characters should have been the first to go not the people who had been there from the start. Plus people started jumping ship after she was fired. There were a total I think of 3 writers left by the end of it to carry over. TPW, AH and one other newbie.
I don’t know if this flows or jumps around the phone typing window is to stinking small.
They are going to run out of bodies on Last Ship if they keep killing the crew. I mean there are only so many people left in the world after the epidemic you know.
Never know, there could be reservists or other foreign sailors ready to join.
Honestly, given that a ninth season would have certainly been its last, it would have not made any sense for them to kill off Kate. But I am curious at what crackpot reasoning the Castle writers would have come up with for Beckett being in hiding and making everyone think she was dead.
I think the reason would’ve been that Beckett likes to be broken, or some other crap.
I’m telling you, Beckett was going to be revealed as Loksat.
Well, she had to finance her wardrobe somehow!
Michael, will the transcript of the FB Live chat be available afterward for those of us who don’t have FB? I would really love to know about the Castle tidbits you’re going to share.

Yes please!
Yes please! Will be at work and can’t watch.
TWD: I can not wait to hear WHO they cast for King Ezekiel……Please let it be Idris Elba he will do a great job playing him. Plus the Tiger Shiva ooooh I love tigers so to see a live one on the show will be cool but won’t mind if they pull off what GOT does w. The Direwloves.
No way could they afford Idris Elba.
Glad to hear Kate wouldn’t have actually died, but it still wouldn’t have made a season 9 watchable without Stana Katic. So thankful it was cancelled!
Yes!
kind of gutted chicago pd has to kill anyone at all, to be honest, but we’d gotten off lightly this year with chicago fire not killing off //any// female characters, so i guess we must be punished with a death on chicago pd. my money’s on ruzek, to give kim more screen time/get rid of the burzek relationship once and for all (still stuns me they ditched it in favor of the much less palatable kim/roman) plus he’s been on the sidelines all season, they clearly don’t know what to do with him when he’s not failing at committing to a relationship.
Should kill of that old hippie.
i like him! i like that he balances out hank. and without him the team has no sense of humour, they’re all so dark and twisty, at least he’s got the dry wit going for him. and he’s so kind. he gives them all empathy.
My bet’s on either Severide or the new chick, at the hands of Crazy Ex-Husband (CEH).
Ooops – wrong show. Wish we could edit! Pretty sure they’re killing off Hank’s son, but don’t know if that counts.
i’d be much more okay with that than one of the main characters, they’ve all been up and down this season but i’m still more attached to them than justin.
I hope they kill off Roman. He is terrible.
Catherine never had a daughter named “Leesa” in real life. Based on the description I think Leesa is actually Margot.
I can’t believe they named her ‘Leesa’. With two ee s. And I thought ‘Bash’ was bad.
I agree that she is probably Margot. I look forward to the CW’s adaptation of Alexandre Dumas, père’s classic novel ‘La Reine Leesa’.
Bash is only a nickname. His name is Sebastian.
‘Bash’ is still ridiculous and not at all French. Let alone 1500s French.
Francis kid is also called John and not Jean or Ian, which would be more realistic versions of the name for two parents who are French and Scottish, not English.
I believe Xo´s baby is Rogelio´s. The dates doesn´t match for he/she to be Esteban´s.
Showrunner confirmed its Esteban’s & XO/To hadnt ya know in a while
really hope another network will #BringBackNashville use that # on Twitter and Facebook…the change.org petition also has almost 100k signatures!
Who cares about Kara/Winn ugghhhh?? I thought that creepy one sided obsession was over.
Yep Kara & Winn is where the chemistry is. Kara and Jimmy have none. Jimmy has it in spades with Lucy
So one of Castles options was to have everyone believe Kate had died And what would the reason be? Nothing good that I can come up with. ABC made a good decisison letting it go but they should have made that decision A LOT earlier and without the firestorm surrounding Katic’s departure. Even if they had cancelled Castle by mid season they could have given them more time to craft a better finale.

Wow! You sure are living in the dark ages to think that!
I think someone’s just trolling.
