Options
for management of caries in pediatric patients are more exciting than ever.
Materials and techniques to remineralize and treat micro-invasively are now
readily available. Painless interventions and pharmacologic management can
arrest and ameliorate this bacterial disease. The use of antimicrobials and
remineralization agents are so simple that we owe it to our children, their
parents and ourselves to incorporate these materials into our daily practice.
Materials and methods to be discussed in this webinar include: fluoride
varnish, silver diamine fluoride, glass ionomers and resin infiltration.
Learning Objectives:
- Review options to manage caries in pediatric patients.
- Discuss topical agents to arrest caries.
- Explore minimally invasive restorative options.
