Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls Book Giveaway {Winner}

How To Turn Up the Heat and Add Sex Appeal to Everyday Situations

Exactly, what is beauty and how do you define true beauty? Celebrity makeup artist Dimitri James the founder of www.skinn.com tell-all” & how-to achieve classy not trashy in his recent book found at www.naughtymakeovers.com

Description:

Naughty is the new Nice..
That’s the mantra and message of the new “tell-all” how-to paperback, physical book from beauty maestro Dimitri James. In Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls, James creates a new kind of finishing school–one for nice girls who always finish anywhere but first.
Tired of seeing the many “nice girls” in his life constantly overlooked, James, a celebrity makeup artist, style guru and television personality, offers a lively and entertaining read full of actionable tips and tricks, showing you how to get whom and what you want.
Those open the book will learn how to look classy, not trashy, trading the prim, proper uniform of “safe” clothing, makeup and hair for something sexier and more inviting, but still situation-appropriate. “You would be surprised how many women don’t know how to use clothes and makeup to market themselves in various social or professional settings,” says James. “‘Nice’ girls are invisible, and ‘trashy’ ones go over the top. ‘Naughty’ is the happy medium that pushes the envelope without crossing the line.”
Thus, James challenges the traditional connotations of the word “naughty” and redefines it as a spirit that can change both image and self-perception for the better. In chapters that range from “Naughty at Work” to “Naughty First Date” to “Naughty Traveler” and “Yummy Mommy,” the author shows readers how to dress outside the box and re-vamp their beauty regimens to add sizzle to their style for all seasons and occasions.
Flip open the physical book to almost any page and find a small gem of wisdom, or a stunningly clear depiction of “nice” vs. “naughty” vs. “trashy,” all sprinkled with James’ trademark wit, candor and spirit of camaraderie.
Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls is loaded with makeup and fashion advice to empower a Nice Girl to transform herself into a spicy but classy woman in every situation. So, go ahead and channel your inner naughty. Instead of fading into the background, become a star in your own life!

Price: $16.97 on Amazon

Pros:
Beauty tips & tricks
Fashion advice
Positive self-esteem booster
Nice colorful illustrations

Cons:
Well written professional 10 chapter book, but entirely too long.  I would expect to find beauty literature at the department store beauty counter in a pocket size pamphlet.

My thoughts:
Every woman wants to look beautiful and Dimitri the beauty expert share tips and tricks to achieve beautiful not, shabby. Also, chapter 3 mentions body language. I would've preferred more in depth information because I strongly believe your body language says a lot about who you are in general and how you carry yourself as an individual.

  2. I like the naughty mama. It doesn't really look naughty but is kind of sexy at the same time. I think I'd need to lose some weight with that too though! lol My family would say I looked great no matter what. :)

  5. My family would say my new look matches mel, I think. I definetely need a makeover, since moving from a cooler climate to a hot, humid one I've gained weight. My confidence has taken a dive and I tend to dress in blah, blah clothing that hide me. Need this book to put myself back together!

  6. I need help for business attire. I am an engineer and need to wear sensible clothes and shoes for manufacturing plants - slacks, flat shoes (or safety shoes), minimal jewellery and nothing loose, flowing or dangling. I walk a lot in the plant where there is no air conditioning but there may be strong fans and I am around equipment, conveyors, dirt and grease. I also need to be in the office where there is A/C.
I have lost weight and most of my work clothes no longer fit - maybe that is a good thing!

  8. I like the Naughty First Date. I tend to be a bit of a "comfy" dresser for just about every occasion. I think I need to start jazzing it up a bit, since I am now 25. I think my family would be shocked that I went from drab to fab. Lets face it, all they know of me is the tomboy-ish dresser that I am!
