Two FJP members quit Constituent Assembly

Two Shura Council members affiliated with the Freedom and Justice Party have resigned from the Constituent Assembly in response to legal charges claiming that Shura Council members cannot simultaneously hold seats on the assembly.

The FJP members stated that the assembly has already drafted a good part of the new constitution while keep the public interest as their priority, and that they decided to resign in order to allow the assembly to continue its job.
