This is the beautiful moment a blind man meets his favourite character, Mickey Mouse, at Walt Disney World in Florida.

Basilio Santana has been visually impaired since the age of nine after being diagnoses with Devic's disease - a rare neurological conditions that causes muscles weakness and eyesight problems.

Basilio, who was born in Sao Paolo, has been a fan of Mickey since a child after receiving a toy replica of the character when he was young.

He told CNews that he was desperate for a photo with Mickey, even though he would never be able to see it.

In the clip, the 21-year-old fan runs his hands over Mickey's ears and feels his facial features.

The pair rub noses before embracing in the middle of the stage.

A crowd gathered to watch the moment can be heard sobbing, and one woman appears to be in tears as they watch the heartwarming exchange.
