Defence Discount Service offers members of the Armed Forces community, including veterans, discounts both online and on the high street, as part of the Armed Forces Covenant.
Defence Discount Service members can save hundreds if not thousands each year with discounts on retail, homeware, tech and more.
Thanks to a partnership with Veterans’ Gateway, you can apply for a free Defence Privilege Card if you are an Armed Forces veteran. This is a personalised card that usually costs £4.99.
For those who apply through Veterans’ Gateway, a free Defence Privilege Card is valid for five years. Thereafter, you will need to renew it. There is a cap on free cards available each year.
How to apply for the card
1. If you are a HM Armed Forces Veteran, visit the Defence Discount Service website or download its free mobile app for iPhone or iPad and Android.
2. Register your details.
3. Once you have registered you can apply for the card.
4. You will need to enter VETGATEWAY19 during the checkout process to access the discount.
