My boyfriend and I absolutely love trying new foods and snacks. If it’s different, we try it! Sometimes it’s hard to find new foods because we don’t exactly have the ability to transport ourselves to different countries. That’s why I was so excited when MunchPak contacted me to see if I wanted to do a review. This subscription box really let my boyfriend and I try new things without even leaving our apartment.
MunchPak is a subscription box that focuses on snacks from around the world. It comes in three different subscriptions to choose from:
- MunchPak Mini: 5+ full size snacks, $9.95
- Original MunchPak: 10+ full size snacks, $19.95
- FamilyPak: 20+ full size snacks, $39.95
After you select the size, you can choose when you want to get the box. You can do once a week, every two weeks, or once a month. Then you can customize your box with different flavors or specific item categories. For example, you can say you want gummy items, chips, sour snacks, spicy items, etc. Each customization costs $1 extra. You can even add in a drink for an extra $5.
MunchPak also has a really cool app that allows you to scan the barcode on your snacks to find out more information. I used it to see where my snacks came from and what exactly some of them were because the labels weren’t in English.
Maruta Natushkashi Ramune Candy – These Japanese candies look like smarties in a little pop bottle! They melt really fast on your tongue and turn super sweet.
Morinaga Hi-Chew Bitter Orange – If you’ve never heard of Hi-Chews, you are missing out. They are fruity, chewy candies that hail from Japan. These Hi-Chews are more natural tasting. The chewy, gummy classic of Hi-Chew combines with the natural and effervescent flavor of orange peels.
Original Tayto Cheese and Onion Flavored Crisps – I fell in love with the packaging of these crisps – it’s too cute! Scrumptious and deliciously crispy, these light and sunflower oil cooked potato chips are cheese and onion flavored. These are right up my alley because I love both of those flavors. These chips are from Ireland, which makes sense because they are known for their potatoes.
Mammos Cola Flavor Candy – These South Korean treats are small, hard candies that taste like Coca-Cola! It’s a pretty simple concept, but Mammos did a great job of capturing that cola taste. I was pleasantly surprised when trying them. Some candies miss the mark, but these are great.
Nimm2 Mulitvitamin Hard Candy – What’s amazing about this German candy is that it’s hard on the outside, but has a fruit filling on the inside. They come in lemon and orange flavors and taste amazing. My boyfriend loves these and hasn’t stopped eating them since we got the box!
Dora 3 Croissant – France is known for their yummy croissants. This one has apricot filling, which isn’t my favorite. I think it missed the mark for me just because I didn’t like the flavor. If it was chocolate or cherry, I would of liked it a little more. The croissant was soft and fluffy and made up for the filling.
Orangina Orange Flavored Soda – This product in the box is also from France, but it’s a drink! I think it’s awesome how MunchPak includes not only snacks, but drinks too. You have to pay extra for drinks, but I think it’s worth it for a better experience. Orangina tastes just like orange juice but in soda form. It’s bubbly, light, and perfectly refreshing for when you want to quench your thirst.
Cookies & Cream Pocky – Pocky is a snack from Japan that is popular pretty much everywhere. They are biscuit sticks dipped with cream and they are so delicious. You can’t go wrong with cookies & cream flavoring.
Glico Pocky Yasashii Amasa Pumpkin Apple Flavor – This flavor of Pocky is more original and perfect for fall. It combines both pumpkin and apple flavoring on biscuit sticks for a rich, delicious taste.
Cosmos Creations Salted Caramel Premium Puffed Corn – Cosmos Creations is a USA brand known for its gourmet tasting snacks. These are light, perfectly puffed popcorn bites that taste just like salted caramel. I love these and I wish they came in a bigger bag!
Swoffle Vanilla Filled Stroopwafel – From Canada comes this tasty waffle cookie treat. It’s filled with french vanilla and tastes heavenly. I love putting one of these waffle treats on top of a hot cup of coffee. It melts the inside and creates a warm, gooey treat that tastes even better than eating it by itself.
Overall, this box had a great variety. I really enjoyed seeing where all the different snacks come from. I also love being able to have little snacks in the house in case I get hungry. I thought all of the items were delicious besides one, which is great.

This looks so much fun! Some foods can be a little eyebrow raising when it comes to international, but with sweets, it isn’t as iffy! These all sound good, and it is a good way to have an adventure without leaving home and a lot less expensive!

Omgosh Orangina!! I love love love it so much!! Its addicting!! Hubby and I fib it by mixing orange juice and sprite lol!! I wish they sold it more readily in the US! What a great variety you got in this box!

I would love that cool app to check what is in the products. I know there’s lots of salt and sugar in them but I’d like to know just what else is in them. That said, I do think it’s fun to sample different snacks. It would make a great Halloween box for a friend or family member.

I’m an absolute fool for tiny charming things like these snacks. there is something so special about a cookie pack with Japanese writing on it, don’t you think so? There’s nothing wrong with making yourself feel special for no particular reason.
