Tabletop Roleplaying Games for Adventurers
New group starting September 2021!
Are you a fan of or ever been curious to try interactive Tabletop Roleplaying Games (TTRPGs) such as Dungeons & Dragons (D&D)? Come join us for a fun, interactive, and inclusive online roleplaying adventure series!
We understand that this past year has led to a lot of isolation and anxiety. The Tabletop Roleplaying Games for Adventurers group is a chance for you to connect and socialize with peers in a creative way while learning skills for coping with big feelings in a safe space. Not only will you get to join a party and go adventuring on a facilitator-lead campaign, but you will also get the opportunity to step "behind the screen" and learn about being a game master.
Schedule:
- Free 11-week series, open to all youth 15-17 years old

- Every Thursday, September 2, 2021 - November 18, 2021 (no group on Thursday, November 11), from 4:00 - 5:30 PM (subject to change)
- Connecting online using Zoom
- No prior TTRPG experience necessary
Our Westcoast Family Centres facilitator Courtney is excited to offer this 11 week series! The goal is to create an inclusive and safe space for you to connect with your peers while expressing your creativity through role-playing games. Whether you're a dungeon-delving master or have never played TTRPG before, this group is for you!
Week 1: Foundation & Introduction
- We will set the stage for our adventure, establish the rules and expectations for the group, and get your started on character creation
- Facilitator-led six-week campaign (a TTRPG game that runs over the course of multiple sessions)
- You get to step "behind the screen" and assist your facilitator in running a session
- Opportunity to check-in one-on-one with your facilitator with any questions and updates you may have about your experience as an adventurer or your own campaign creations
