ACADEMY OF UNITED STATES VETERANS

ARLINGTON | LAS VEGAS | HOME OF THE VETERANS AWARDS

TRUE STORY

To receive mental health benefits, veterans are required to re-live their stories of trauma, loss and despair countless times. The Department of Veterans Affairs' providers and their healthcare partners systematically create unbearable situations for combat veterans and their families until many give up on obtaining their well deserved compensation for invisible wounds.

Families of those veterans who have committed suicide have trouble obtaining various benefits and recognitions for their service members who have fought selflessly for our country.

COMMUNITY HEALS

We at AUSV believe that collaborative communities can be a vehicle to bring real opportunities for society.

IMPACT

We build sustainable bridges of trust, unity, and respect between our service members, and other influential communities through advocacy, community relations, and media outreach.

POWER OF COLLABORATION

Our events bring the community together in unity to empower and heal.

UNEXPECTED VOICES

To prevent suicide and shatter the stigma through public awareness and community empowerment.

COMMUNITY BENEFITS

According to National Alliance of Mental Illness, Mental health heavily influences our quality of life. So it makes sense that mental health, just like physical health, needs to be taken care of and maintained. And one way that it can be maintained is through finding a sense of community.

Our sponsored community projects such as events and travel opportunities open the door to a sense of belonging, support and purpose. These projects fall under our Mental Health and Suicide Prevention project: Unexpected Voices

WHAT WE DO. WHO WE ARE. WHAT WE SEEK

ABOUT US

Since being established in 2015, Academy of United States Veterans has proudly excelled in the areas of service, community unity and membership growth. Through our philanthropy and social activities, members of our community often find lifetime friendships and valuable connections for the future.

OBJECTIVES

It is not human nature to live in isolation. We all seek a sense of belonging. We seek compassion and understanding, and it is at the core of a community that we can finally put an end to our lifelong search.

Through our events, we connect like-minded individuals while we find common interests with the unlikeliest groups in our society at large. Such endeavors create platforms for a healthy mind, the ability to thrive, and finding a sense of purpose.

Stay Informed

“I see Americans of every party, every background, every faith who believe that we are stronger together: black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American; young, old; gay, straight; men, women, folks with disabilities, all pledging allegiance under the same proud flag to this big, bold country that we love. That’s what I see. That’s the America I know! ”

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA
