Customer Reviews
Sandy
These episodes are my favorite 15 minutes of the day each time they come out! Thanks, Ted.
This was another stellar edition.
The famous advice for all authors is: Write what you know.
Bruce’s self-proclaimed “Magic trick” is his ability to write so personally, and yet so much of us is reflected in his lyrics.
This is the case yet again with this song.
At that point, “beach bum” Bruce’s world was so small, Sandy and what she represented was the whole universe to him.
And yet, in some way, at some time, all inhabited this world, too.
PS. Great job pointing out his inflection on “forever..?” !
A great listen for Springsteen fans!
This a really an engaging listen for all fans of Springsteen. For me personally, the lyric is often what draws me in to a particular song and this is a nice listen because it’s always cool to hear what lyric draws others in and hearing their opinion & take on it. Great podcast!
A Remarkable Podcast
I didn’t just listen to this podcast, I devoured it. A remarkable idea beautifully executed by Ted Canova who is a talented and empathetic interviewer. I enjoyed each episode and challenged myself to find “that one lyric”. It isn’t easy. Highly recommended if you love music, Bruce and the magic of music.
