Lindsay Michael, co-host of CBC's Podcast Playlist, moderates a discussion with three veteran podcasters who have launched successful new shows in recent years: Phoebe Judge, host of Radiotopia's Criminal and previously of The Story; Kaitlyn Sawrey, producer of Gimlet Media’s Science Vs. and previously of Hack; and Mira Burt-Wintonick, producer of CBC's Love Me and previously of WireTap. This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from dynamic audio storytellers who have made their podcast ambitions happen, discussing the process of developing and cultivating a show’s narrative voice.

Lindsay Michael has been working in public radio for more than 10 years. Her work focuses on creative audio, and has been awarded a New York Festivals' Gold Medal, a national RTNDA award and has frequently been featured at the International Feature Conference. Lindsay has represented Canada at the European Broadcasting Union Master School on Radio Features in Berlin and Brussels.

Phoebe Judge is the host of Criminal. Previously, she was a host at WUNC North Carolina Public Radio, a producer for The Story with Dick Gordon, and a reporter based in the gulf coast of Mississippi. She covered the BP oil spill and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina for Mississippi Public Broadcasting and National Public Radio. Phoebe’s work has won multiple Edward R. Murrow and Associated Press awards. She attended the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.

Kaitlyn Sawrey is the senior producer of Science Vs. Previously she was the executive producer of youth current affairs show Hack on triple j in Australia. Kaitlyn was the founding producer of Science Vs. for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Mira Burt-Wintonick is an award-winning radio producer and documentary filmmaker.For 10 years, she produced CBC’s WireTap, in collaboration with host/creator Jonathan Goldstein. She is currently producing CBC's Love Me. Her work has aired on This American Life, The Truth, Snap Judgment, The Heart and CBC’s Outfront, among others. She is currently working on a feature documentary film about her late father, filmmaker Peter Wintonick, and his search for Utopia.
