UPDATE: Man formally charged in early morning accident

UPDATE: 3:30 p.m. — Robert Charles Norris III was formally charged with second-degree murder. Cleveland County Special Judge Steve Stice set Norris' bail at $2,000,000. As a condition of bail, Norris was ordered to not drive or consume alcohol. 

A Norman man driving a motorcycle died as a result of a head-on collision with a truck early Monday morning. 

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol accident report, at about 3:09 a.m., Robert C. Norris, 33, of Del City, was heading southbound in northbound lanes on I-35 when he collided head-on with a motorcycle driven by Paul S. Campbell. 

Campbell, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene. Norris was not injured. 

Norris is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, according to the report.
