After beating Shah Rukh Khan's Fan collection (Rs 52.35 crore) over the first weekend, Housefull 3 continued its fabulous march at the domestic box office. The film got off to a bumper start on Friday and grew over the weekend to finish at Rs 53.31 crore in the opening weekend. The film was strong on Monday and earned Rs 8.25 crore on day four, to take its four-day total to Rs 61.56 crore. But even though the film saw a huge drop, the film has been able to maintain a strong grip at the cinemas and with a positive word of mouth taking place for Housefull 3, it will quite easily cross the lifetime collection of Fan by the end of the first week. As trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed in his tweets, "#Housefull3 held a STRONG grip, after a FANTASTIC weekend... Decline in biz: 45.76%... Yes, it has PASSED the crucial 'Monday test'... #Housefull3 Fri 15.21 cr, Sat 16.30 cr, Sun 21.80 cr, Mon 8.25 cr. Total: Rs 61.56 cr. India biz... Should cross ₹ 80 cr in Week 1... SUPERB!" Starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon, Riteish Deshmukh, Nargis Fakhri and Abhishek Bachchan, the film has received good reviews and positive response from the audience. And with positive word of mouth, the film will continue to have a steady run at the box office over the week. With no competition this week and no big film releasing this Friday, Housefull 3 might just cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the end of the second weekend.
