President Donald Trump is returning to Trump Tower on Monday for the first time since taking office on January 20. His visit, which is scheduled to last for three days, is being met with the same kinds of protests that occupied the area surrounding the Fifth Avenue building following the election last fall and the announcement of his refugee ban in January.

Protesters are scheduled to convene on Trump Tower at 5:30pm on Monday—more than 15,000 people have expressed interest on Facebook in attending the demonstration. The protest follows a series of rallies across New York City and the country in response to the fatal white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the weekend. Activists took issue with a statement from the president in which he denounced the "egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides."

After staying at the Trump National Gold Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, over the weekend, the president flew to Washington, D.C., on Monday morning. He's scheduled to head to his namesake building later this evening and stay there until Wednesday. The visit is part of a 17-day “working vacation” that was scheduled in order to allow crews to make renovations to the White House.

Activists are planning on holding demonstrations outside of Trump Tower during the duration of the president's stay.
