Duties and Responsibilities

The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources (BSEER) is a fast growing, internationally renowned School for cross disciplinary research with economists, energy modellers, social scientists, building engineers, physicists and heritage specialists all working to mitigate climate change.

BSEER is seeking an Executive Education and Partnerships Manager to drive growth and lead operations of the School’s executive education and partnership programmes. They will also lead on the day-to-day management of BSEER’s relationship between its government, business and third-sector partners and its taught and short-course offerings

Working as part of the busy Professional Services team and in conjunction with relevant academic staff, the post holder will Manage operations of executive education courses from concept to completion, ensuring executional excellence and client satisfaction. They will act as the key point of contact for external relationships, be responsible for the identification, development and maintenance of partnerships and for the strategic negotiation of milestone agreements and contracts; where there are high levels of financial, legal and reputational risk.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate for the post will have extensive experience helping academic institutions with their commercial portfolios in Executive Education.  Particularly useful will be experience in developing business models for bespoke courses for business leaders. The post holder must have a strong understanding of websites, social media and multimedia, and how they can be used for marketing.

An understanding of the opportunities available to HEIs from new modes and models of delivery, particularly the potential of online programmes and short courses is necessary as well as experience of project and programme management.

This is a busy role in a fast-paced environment, and the post holder is expected to be adaptable, proactive and quickly assimilate information. The role requires interaction with many people within and external to UCL, thus a professional attitude, willingness to help and ability to remain tactful and assertive are required in order to adequately execute the duties outlined.
