AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken softball team recently continued its mission of giving back to the campus and community.

On Saturday, Jan. 23, the entire softball program participated in its second time of giving back this school year. The squad spent the majority of the morning cleaning up Robert M. Bell Parkway.

"It was an opportunity for our team to give back to the community that they belong to here at USC Aiken," head softball coach Jaclin Poole said. "While we strive to be the best possible athletes we can be, we also strive to be servant leaders, leading by example and putting others before ourselves. I am thankful for the various clubs here on campus that allow us these opportunities to serve others, to give back and for personal growth."
