What I wore in humid weather of Goa – Cotton Shorts & Tie-up Top
Monsoons is the best season to visit the serene beaches of Goa as there is less crowd and more greenery. Of course ,the constant drizzles and humid weather can get to some. But after all that’s Goa for you, its humid practically all year! I recently visited Goa, which by the way, is my favorite destination for beach holiday and I packed up a few fashion essentials for the humid climate.

When it comes to fashion in Goa, its practically Shorts and Tanks or Spaghetti tops and Sarongs. People are pretty much chilled out here. Also with the scorching sun those are the practical options. However considering that I went during the Monsoon season, which sometimes tends to be a little chilly. And the fact that I wanted to try out all possible outfits for a Beach holiday, I came up with a list of beach fashion essentials for Monsoon in Goa. And few outfit ideas including the denim one piece for night party that you saw in my earlier post. I wanted to pack light yet look trendy so I packed up every single outfit with precise thought this time!
Monsoon fashion essentials – Goa
Today’s Goa OOTD is a pair of breezy Cotton shorts that are denim look alike, paired with a hakoba cotton Top with side tie-ups. This is a pretty simple and comfortable outfit, yet the tie-ups give a little drama to it. Since its a beach holiday look, comfort is the key. I wanted something that was trendy, could survive the humid weather, was easy to wear and light to carry. A pair of cotton shorts fit the bill perfectly.
Beach ootd – Cotton Shorts & Tunic
I really hate to head to the hotel soon after having a dip in beach as I no more feel like hanging out on shore in wet clothes. Well, compared to denim shorts Cotton shorts dry up pretty quickly. Imagine having a beach bath in your shorts and lazying out in the sun, while your clothes get dry making you ready for your next dip! Sounds fun right?
What I wore in Goa
Another Monsoon fashion essentials for beach holiday is a Straw hat! It not only shades you from the sun, but will also protect your hair from getting wet during the intermittent rain showers. The fact that it looks pretty for a beach holiday is a plus. Since the straw hat is pretty much a beach fashion must have thing for me, I practically took it everywhere I went. No wonder I am wearing a straw hat with this look.
Summer Resort ootd
The thing about this outfit is that you can wear this look as Summer resort wear as well. Since cotton is best material for both Summers and Monsoon. The shorts here are not the flimsy cotton shorts but are made up of a thicker almost chambray kind material such that they do not become see through when wet. That they are wrinkle free is a blessing!

I have completed my look with a matching Blue sling back from SHIEN and my white converse shoes. Yes you can totally swap converse with sports shoes or flip flops. Since I take off my shoes far off from the beach always I decided to go with the comfy ones.

It is important to pack light accessories that you can carry easily and are clutter free for all the touristy hopping. My pearl studs land up being my most important beach fashion essentials for Goa. I can easily pair them with with almost all of my outfits.

Being a fashion Blogger I am always on the look-out for clothes that can be styled differently. Both the cotton shorts and the top from this look can be paired with other outfits and styled differently.

That’s me picking up a Balinese flower from the hotel courtyard. We stayed at three resorts and one of them was the Caramella beach resort in South Goa, it has a super huge golf course and scenic place to click pictures.
