This is satire. Hopefully that’s obvious. But it’s good. Read it thoughtfully and closely guard your marriage, especially on the hard days or in the hard seasons.

This is a helpful perspective on mentoring. What we’re often looking for just isn’t realistic, and to be honest, it’s not the best reflection of what a strong mentor-learner relationship looks like. It looks a lot more like real life than we think.

Staying on the theme of mentoring as life-on-life. I love a good, pointed, humble “Let’s get real about…” Well, here you go. You could make a few small changes and directly apply this to men, as well, so guys, take note.

I love Jen Wilkin and recommend almost anything she writes. And I say “almost” just because I haven’t read everything she’s written. This is a GREAT charge to the parents of daughters, especially dads. Your job is WAY more than to brandish a shotgun. Don’t let it get to that. (But it’s still nice for Slouchy-Pants to know what’s up.)
