Five Sensual Stars
As an avid reader that enjoys a good story, once in a while there comes along something that captures your full attention, really makes you think about the importance of the author’s words, writing style and storyline. How it makes you feel, how it grabs your imagination and most important, how your mind is seduced and lured into a world of sensual darkness. I would never call this tale titillating; it is so much more than that. Erotic genre has a certain kind of persona and even though this book does have an air of eroticism, the sophisticated writing puts it in a whole new league of its own.
Lexx took me on a journey in pursuit of more Crimson Confessions where I discovered the voluptuous Valeria. The places I travelled to and I do say travel because while reading, I felt like I was physically exploring the destinations J.D Lexx had visited. Prague, New Orleans and New York City. Lexx is on a quest which is full of twists and turns and mystery. It is an enticing pack of tales and entail lustful indiscretions. Albeit him constantly chasing throughout this epic party of Confessions, it’s not clear whether he will potentially catch up with the one that got away or who started all of this.

The characters in this set of Confessions are all very interesting, quite alluring in the way they are described, and truly stirred feelings of lasciviousness. I was on the edge of my seat wondering where the many journeys Lexx had made to see how it would unfold. And of course, if he would find what he was looking for. Let’s face it, aren’t we all looking for something in the journey of life? It has a tinge of sadness as well as intoxicating moments and my heart was beating at where it would all lead to. I must have had oh my god moments through a massive proportion of this book, too. I loved the thorough descriptiveness of not just the steamy scenes, but also the thrilling discovery of more confessions.
“The way you pretend, I mean. You do realize, of course, that you can’t hold out forever. Sooner or later, I always get what I want.”
“Of that, I have no doubt. Do tell, Petite Garou, what is it that you want?”
I have given this compelling read five stars because it was sensual, enigmatic and at times, completely impassioned. Furthermore, the exemplary editing which compliments the writing and helps the flow of the story has to mentioned. The insight into the workings of J.D. Lexx has been a very pleasurable one as every written word offers abounding enjoyment. This author is certainly a clever wordsmith who knows how to create and articulate enough words to keep his audience wanting more. Nevertheless, there are more confessions on the horizon and so much more to be told. I look forward to discovering more about Lexx and if he will ever find what he is looking for. Needless to say, I highly recommended this book but clearly plenty of time is needed since putting Malediction down won’t be an option. It wasn't for me!

A few weeks ago I was a brand new reader to JD Lexx and now he has a reader in me for as long as he keeps writing. Malediction is the story of JD Lexx and his journey on the pursuit of the elusive and once forbidden Valeria. Throughout this book you will be taken on an expedition of sensuality, sexual awakening, and seduction. You will travel to different parts of the world and get lost in the tales of pursuit, struggle, missed opportunity, and overall self-discovery. Will Mr. Lexx find his happily ever after and achieve his greatest desire, or will his efforts prove to be futile?
What I Loved
EVERYTHING!
Let me start by prefacing this review with saying that I read a lot! I get lost in many books and have fallen in love with many authors and styles of writing. That being said, what I just read with Malediction was a step above so much of what I have read in the past. That’s not to take away from other books or other authors, but rather speaks to the creative mind and genius of JD Lexx. This man can write his butt off. He tells a story in a way that is hard for me to even articulate. I was at a loss for words and putting coherent sentences together when I began trying to write this review. Anyone who knows me knows me and a loss of words are not things that normally go together. When reading, I am usually all about falling in love with the characters first and foremost and the story secondly. With this book I fell in love with the journey and the story and the characters after.
The descriptive nature in which JD writes is enough to make this book amazing. I felt like I was traveling along on the journey and was able to visit places and spots I have never been. The way the story is written, you have to open up your mind, and use your brain and imagination. I love that! He paints a vivid image in your head and you have no choice but to sit back and enjoy the ride.
Who doesn’t love great sex when reading erotica? I do for sure. This was another area where I feel JD excels in his writing. The erotic scenes are smoking hot, but not in your face so to speak. I have said this in another review of one his books and it holds true still. JD is a creative wordsmith, subtle in his delivery, but doing so in a way that is otherworldly. It’s erotic, but sensual at the same time.
What I Didn’t Love
The only thing I didn’t love was when it was over. But alas, there is more to come and thank God for that!
I will be anxiously awaiting the next installment of this story and more delicious crimson confessions. If I could give this book more than five stars I certainly would, but I can’t. I happily give this book 5 deserving stars and would recommend it to everyone!

If you haven't had the pleasure of picking up a read by JD Lexx yet, put this author on your MUST READ list immediately.
JD Lexx is on the hunt. Not for wildlife or for bad guys, but for erotic stories for his Crimson Confessions series. He's also searching for the woman who he can't get out of his mind, the woman he's resisted far too long, the woman he wants to both possess and defile. But to find Valeria, he must first find his Confessions. Mr. Lexx's hunt takes him from the graveyards of New Orleans to the private clubs of NYC to the dark underworld of Prague, but it's his trip to Paris where he'll face his most daunting story.
For a proud and confirmed bibliophile like myself, Mr. Lexx's books evoke a LOT of feelings: awe, envy, shock, arousal and even confusion. I think I've read everything this author has released, and I've loved every single word of all of them, but MALEDICTION: RISE OF THE CRIMSON CONFESSIONS takes smart erotica to a whole new level. Is it based on his real background or is this intricately woven fiction? I don't know, and I badly want to!! I want to work with and for him, finding the bliss hidden in the everyday that makes up the fabric of all romantic relationships. Let me know if you'd like my resume!!
The mysterious, sensual way that Mr. Lexx writes is part of what draws the reader in and makes you feel like you're part of something really magical. He's a true genius wordsmith who awakens visceral responses with every word he crafts, each expertly poised to elicit the most powerful fervor within the reader. With Confessions that take you from New Orleans to New York, from Prague to Paris, there's proof that sensuality and sexuality is everywhere if you look closely enough.
Valeria's section of the book was otherworldly and, I'm loathe to admit, somewhat confusing. I had a hard time following what exactly was going on, as she experimented with drugs and sex and danger. But as her portion gave me more info, confusion turned to intrigue then left me with a literal cliffhanger that evoked the need to throw my kindle out the window. Mr. Lexx, I need more Crimson Confessions before my poor kindle decides to strike back!
Bottom Line. Mr. Lexx's writing is definitely not for everyone. The cultured prose and lyrical structure may feel too highbrow for some, but for me, I'm utterly and completely in love. - See more at: http://erotic.theromancereviews.com/v...

JD Lexx has simply outdone himself, once again! I absolutely loved Malediction, and I must confess that it's probably my favorite of his work so far! It's a very sensual, mysterious, and suspenseful read. I found myself not being able to put it down, but at the same time wanting to savor each and every page so it wouldn't end! The way JD writes, it's unlike any other author I have read so far and that's one thing I truly love about Malediction. It's different and unique. The words hold you captive, until next thing you know you just spent 2 hours reading when it only felt like 5 minutes.
So, want to try an amazing sensual and suspenseful read!? Pick up Malediction. You will not be disappointed! 5+ stars!

Yet again J.D.Lexx has done it again with his writing skills!.
Malediction is an erotic romance, filled with passion, mystery and the odd snippet of humour. l also loved every character in the story........Well, maybe one in particular! ;)
There's lots of twists and turns in the book, not to mention some parts that take you by surprise, so you never quite know what's coming next.
Like all of J.D.Lexx books you feel like you're living it, because he tells a story so well like no other author I've read. And l have to mention the places he took us to, because he described each country so well that l feel I've been there.
The way l describe JD's writing is "classy and seductive", because he goes above and beyond to make sure they stand out from other erotic reads, and l love that!
Am l looking forward to the next book?......It can't come quick enough, because l can't wait to find out what happens next, but l know after Malediction the wait will be worth it.

Wonderfully delicious and quite unexpected treasure found here!
I came into this book with a certain framework built upon expectations derived from reading many authors: dark, light, contemporary, historical, suspense, thriller and those I may have forgotten. There are ‘rules’ built upon these experiences, which are generally followed by those writing in this genre. And I would say JD LEXX breaks all these rules, but that really would be an injustice to what the masterpiece MALEDICTION truly is, because he doesn’t break the rules…he has obliterated them and rewritten them with class, poise, dignity, and an exuberance for creating an impeccable tale.
This story isn’t merely genre busting, it’s not merely a well-written book of erotica. WHAT it is … MALEDICTION is a seduction of the soul, a true wonder of how words held within the right hands can be crafted into something which becomes so much more than a mere telling of events. My preconceptions were something I had to place to the side, to the very far side, after delving into the first page of this wonderful creation.
JD LEXX has a command of the English language surpassing not only the average erotica writer but all of them combined. His sensual use of prose wraps around you in a sinuous dance, engaging the largest erotic organ of the body--he took my MIND on a journey, and this was an epic adventure! Because even in the telling of his creation, he broke all the rules…and it worked brilliantly!
And what I loved most about this book--JD LEXX respected my mind, my ability to keep up with his far-reaching prose. I was entranced and then followed him down a path, uncovering and discovering, and finding myself more and more awestruck by my voyage into this world.
MALEDICTION is unquestionably UNIQUE. It’s erotica without being ‘in your face.’ It’s sensual, sexy, intelligent, and takes you to the edge of naughty and nice, stimulating all your senses while making you squirm, blush, and wonder how that just happened. It’s a sheer pleasure to read his words, and he brings you in so deeply, you’re not a distant observer who watches the story unfold. He breaks the fourth wall, immersing you within the story, making you a co-conspirator in the unfolding events, urging you to turn that page one more time, until you have no more pages to turn, except back to the beginning to start all over again. This is a sensual erotic read which deserves multiple passes to truly absorb the brilliance within.
It’s refreshing to find a writer with such command of the words. I am a proud JD LEXX convert! You NEED TO READ THIS!

5+++ stars. I started reading J.D. Lexx about 6 months ago and fell in love with his first book and then proceeded to read the next two in the series. I was completely addicted to them if that is possible and reading them several times. I always wondered what the inscription meant but never asked.
For V. May the unfolding of every new line bring you one step closer to home.
Well that question was answered when I was fortunate enough to read Malediction as an ARC copy. I absolutely fell in love with the story line, the new Confessions, and I was especially drawn to the book once I found out who V. was. As I was reading, his brilliant and spellbinding writing pulled me in heart and soul and I read the book in one night. I could not put the book down. Believe me I tried. As the story progressed I went through every emotion from happy, sad, upset, to ugly crying during one chapter. Yes, I will admit it. I ugly cried. I could so relate and feel both V.’s and Lexx’s emotions.
This is where every journey ventures out in search of its defining character.

If you have not had the pleasure of reading any of the books by J.D. Lexx, I highly recommend them. He has a brilliant gift and I wish more people knew about him.

Attempting to write this review left me at a loss for words. I don’t even think I am going to be able to fully convey the way this book spoke to me.
I knew going into Malediction I needed to hold on tight because JD Lexx was going to remove all senses and leave me wanting and yet feeling cathartic.
Let me start by saying that the crimson confessions are such the delicacy. The stories are sexy, sensual and oh so hot. The confessions bleed so effortlessly into the tale of Lexx & Valeria. The deep connection and lust for control they both share take you on an epic adventure of lust and woe. I was hypnotized by Valeria’ story and found myself empathizing with her longing for Julian.
I compulsively and tirelessly read this book. The story is extremely well written and highly entertaining. JD Lexx will definitely leave a mark on the reader’s minds with this tale.

This was my first J.D. Lexx novel, I wasn't sure about this book at first I hadn't any expectations of it.. I was going in thinking new author hopefully I'll like it enough to finish... I 100% devoured this book and I mean devored it.. I was so blown away by the sensually seductive suspense plot.. it reeled me in and kept me interested throughout the book..
J.D's style of writing is uncomparable.. so totally unique..its inspiring!
He brought me on his journey feeling I was experiencing it right beside him,
I love how this novel expands your mind and maximises your imagination..
The sex scenes were very subtle but so hot.. the right amount of erotica to be completely tasteful
This is a massive 5☆ read.. I would be very happy to recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
So thank you J.D for such an amazing read.. you've definitely got a new fan in me..

JD Lexx has a fan girl for LIFE right here!
It is so amazing how an author has finally caught my attention with his style of writing in eroticism and the flair given through his stories the true way I've always loved in a novel!!!! This story captures a form of JD that gives us just so much more of him...His prior novels... I now realize, were snippets leading us up to this surreal world, as he takes us to New York, New Orleans and Prague...different parts of the world, in pursuit of Valeria...
I don't want to divulge much more as it may turn into spoilers, but you have to read it to connect to the erotic, lust-filled, adventure and suspenseful world that is MALEDICTION....I will post my entire feelings on release day...but you have to read it!!!!

This book defies categorization; it is erotic, and mysterious, and romantic, but to shove it into one genre is to deny and ignore the equally strong effect of the other elements of the story. Lexx and V’s story is one that actually speaks to me on a personal level; well, shouts at me would be more accurate… Poor timing, personal insecurity, societal expectation, and not recognizing your one chance until it’s passed you by are very common themes in my life, and I suspect in most peoples’ lives. Most of us are lucky enough to find that the missed opportunity was a blessing in disguise; Mr Lexx was not so fortunate. Kept apart first by common sense and decency, then by pride, Lexx is now forced to wander the globe in search of his true love, hoping that they can finally find their true destinies together. First, though, he has to follow the trail of Confessions to her. The pace this sets within the main story puts the reader into Lexx’s journey, cranking up the anticipation of finding V, then a plateau, until the wait is as unbearable for the reader as it is for Lexx. At the start of the story, each Confession is another erotic adventure to be enjoyed, but by the end you start to view each one with a groan of frustration worthy of Lexx himself – at least, until you read them, then the adventure’s back!
There is also the ‘story within a story’, the collected Confessions providing a small peek at the inner dynamics of the personal relationships that go on around us every day. In the hands of a lesser writer, the erotic encounters described in the Confessions would be cheap, tawdry little sideshows tossed in for extra eroticism; instead, Mr Lexx has turned each into a sensitive tribute to humanity in all its flawed glory. He doesn’t treat these lesser players as bodies with back story, they are people he cares about, and he makes you understand and care about them, however brief their appearance in the book.
A word you will probably see often in describing J.D. Lexx’s work is ‘elegant’; he is a true master with words, and is very aware that the choice of words sets the tone for every scene. In a world of poorly written fan-fic run amok, it is a balm to this grammar (and, in fact, English language) Nazi’s soul to read something that actually deserves to be in print and not in the garbage. Mr. Lexx is unapologetically intelligent and urbane, and tells the story as it needs to be told, with no pandering to lesser intellectual elements. The elegance also extends to the erotic scenes, which are written without the need to crudely over-describe every element of the scene. There is just enough detail to perfectly set the stage in your head, without any bulging, rippling, smacking, or slurping to rudely interrupt the image. I normally skip the actual sex parts of books I read because I don’t find them sexy; the erotic scenes in this book are about to cause me to short out my tablet because of all the drooling. I want more, right now, but like Lexx himself, I will just have to review the memories in this volume, and wait for the rest of the story to unfold.

journey (def.) - a long and often difficult process of personal change and development
Lexx opens himself up to give us more than a glimpse into the places and people that have shaped him, the most meaningful of course...Valeria. As part of the journey, he also gives us the confessions - the narratives of people willing to tell him their dirty little secrets. The confessions are leading him, hopefully, to her.
Lexx has a magical way of putting words on paper that is like nothing else you've ever read. The writing is smart. The descriptions are detailed, but not too much so. (No one likes to get bogged down in minutiae.) Lexx makes the story relatable; we all experience judgement, opportunity lost, lust/desire, regret . . .
I would be remiss if I didn't touch on the "erotic" moments in the book. I've read too many romance books where the sex is 'all up in your face.' (You know exactly what I'm talking about!) Lexx paints his scenes with a sophisticated brush - no crude descriptions or teenage language here. His descriptions are sensual, with just enough heat to make you rearrange yourself in your chair, wishing you were on the receiving end of the play. I like to think of it as a glowing ember that gets a sudden influx of oxygen . . . the flame intensifies and slowly calms itself only to repeat the process throughout the book.
Malediction doesn't fit nicely into any particular genre pigeonhole. It has its erotic moments, but I don't like to limit it to just erotica; there's too much more to it. There is mystery. There is suspense. It reminds me a bit of The Twilight Zone tv show . . . Each confession is like its own episode, the RefLexxion like Rod Serling's summation at the end of the show. If it was music it would be one of those 1970's concept albums . . . Each confession a separate track on the vinyl, but together they tell the story, the journey. Heck, I'm not even sure it truly fits in the fiction section! There are bits and pieces thrown in that make me feel that maybe we're getting even more of the man behind the book than even J.D. realizes. (Sometimes the truth is better than fiction.) But, if I had to classify it for sake of a hashtag, I guess I would call it 'intellectual erotic suspense'. (Is that a thing?!)
In the end, it doesn't matter what you call it, only that you read it. I doubt you will be disappointed. I can't wait for the next Crimson Confession! I will be a J.D. Lexx fan for as long as he continues to write!

This book was a little different than what I normally read, so I won’t lie, I was a little hesitant. But once I started I really fell into the book and couldn’t put it down! I loved the development of the characters and the story flowed, there was never a lull at any point. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, but after reading this I know I’ll be reading more in the future!

What I LOVED:
The author has the ability to command you to really think about the words on the page. I said it about Food Lust, but it is worth repeating. JD LEXX forces you to experience erotica. He writes in a way that allows us to intellectually process his vision. As for the story, JD finds his Crimson Confessions as he continues on his journey to recapture a chance that he missed in his life. Second chances are sometimes elusive, but can be grasped only if we try to go after them. Mr. Lexx has yet again proven to me why I fell in love with the Erotica genre. I am being held captive by his intelligent writing and I am not sure I want to be released. (Not to be confused with getting a release.)
What I DIDN’T Love:
Not really much I can say here is there? I could say that it ended at all though right? In all honesty, there really wasn’t one thing I didn’t like. Uniqueness is not to be picked over.
Overall:
I really do not know what more to say. I hate to go on and on in a review and possibly give away something important to the story so this is all you get from me. GET THIS BOOK! Read it. Experience it. It was suspenseful and not your average run of the mill erotica story. The way the story is told is so completely rare and eloquent. It is another example of creativity in its finest form. Keep writing, Mr. Lexx. I CRAVE more from you. ;-)

A man, on a journey of love? A quest of finding oneself in the nucleus of others? All the while,
putting oneself afflictions, insecurities and everything else on display for people to judge?
That my fellow readers is bravery! Some would call it foolish… I call it gallantry! A story that will
touch your heart, your soul and most definitely the sexual side yourself.
Mr. Lexx is a masterful storyteller. The way he produces his stories is a masterpiece. He doesn’t
just tell a story, to tell it. He makes you feel the story, makes you believe you are in the story-
you are the story. No common author can do that. And the way he writes his
stories….Passionately, sensually... Without the tasteless tact that some male authors have..

Beautifully articulate. The words he used… the way he uses them, I’ll never find another male
author like him. His eroticism has such a romantic tone to it that I honestly didn’t know a man
could have let alone articulate.
I loved everything about this book. But I think my favorite part of this book was the Prague part.
Very intriguing, suspenseful and sensual. The female lead in this confession/story had
everything that I would call beautiful. Heroism, mystery and strength. The male lead I found
semi humorous in his “wanna be” spy ways. He even dressed the part which I loved. The whole
confession/story, I swear, was something that could be in a movie. I saw the whole thing play
out in my head, red dresses, masks, stairs… all of it. I loved that he tried to be her hero. And I
guess in the end did. But I also feel she was his hero in return. I think they both gave each other
something they were longing for in life.
There was nothing I didn’t like about Malediction. If you’re looking for a book that’s beautifully
written, erotic, romantic and intriguing, do not hesitate to buy this book. You will NOT regret it.

Cerebral erotica, written with a deft hand
Out of habit, one has preconceptions when starting a new work of erotica. Whether it be Dark, Light, Romantic, Historical, the different genres of erotic romance generally have a bit of similarity, a commonality typically adhered to. Mr. Lexx does not subscribe to that theory. I started MALEDICTION, my first book from J. D. Lexx, expecting a first rate tale as I'd seen posts from his fans, who hold him in very high regard. I expected a good, solid storyline. What I found was so much more. I'd liken it to expecting to find a house cat at the end of a tail, when, in fact, you've got a lion. Erotica, yes indeed, a sensual delight for a discerning reader, but like the true Renaissance man I now believe him to be, he infuses this book with intelligence, empathy, angst, warmth, irony, exuberance and wit. It is a sheer joy to read his mastery, his artful command of the English language. This is smart, sexy, ingenious, deeply moving, complex and inventive erotica. His love of life and the pursuit of carnal pleasures come through clearly. Urbane, with such lyrical and clever turns of phrases; so very compelling to read. J .D. Lexx is not merely satisfied with entertaining his readers, he challenges them, dares them to see beyond society's limits and self imposed restrictions. To look inward and scrutinize ourselves.
As I mentioned earlier, this is my first Lexx work, so in the beginning I did have a slight confusion over the fourth wall aspect, but by the third chapter, it no longer mattered. His writing style draws you in, makes you an accomplice, a conspirator in the stories, each fascinating, entertaining in it's own way. Taken as a whole, the book is superbly crafted and endlessly enjoyable. My first tome by Mr. Lexx, but most definitely it will not be my last.
One might begin reading this book hoping to find a gem, how glorious to realize you've got the Higgs boson in your hands. Thank you J. D. for sharing such a gift.

Lexx is not merely satisfied with entertaining his readers, he challenges them, dares them to see beyond society's limits and self imposed restrictions. To look inward and scrutinize ourselves.
As I mentioned earlier, this is my first Lexx work, so in the beginning I did have a slight confusion over the fourth wall aspect, but by the third chapter, it no longer mattered. His writing style draws you in, makes you an accomplice, a conspirator in the stories, each fascinating, entertaining in it's own way. Taken as a whole, the book is superbly crafted and endlessly enjoyable. My first tome by Mr. Lexx, but most definitely it will not be my last.
One might begin reading this book hoping to find a gem, how glorious to realize you've got the Higgs boson in your hands. Thank you J. D. for sharing such a gift.

Reading Malediction was a unique experience for me…a 10-day love affair that I was hesitant to begin, and once I did, never wanted it to end!
For two weeks I anxiously awaited this beautiful cover to appear on my Kindle, but the instant it did, I was intimidated by its presence. Having recently read and loved the author’s first two novellas, I knew I would find the same word-seduction, clever storytelling and highly erotic imagination, in Malediction: Rise of the Crimson Confessions. As much as I looked forward to reading the guilty-pleasure confessions, in the days leading up to its’ release, I had developed an unexplainable fear of sorts, to learn more of the mysterious woman it is said that Mr. Lexx tirelessly searches for.
Much later that evening, I scolded myself for ridiculousness and finally started the novel while snuggled in bed with a cup of tea, which became my ritual for the next week and a half. I could have stolen brief moments throughout each day to indulge- 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there- but that seemed cheap for the underlying story unfolding. So every night after all my responsibilities were met, I spent the better part of an hour being pulled into page after page of provocatively subtle yet still panty-incinerating confessions, and the Author’s personal refLEXXions regarding them, which are quite thought-provoking. And yes, the background and confession of the mysterious woman were revealed; my fear was not totally misplaced as Mr. Lexx did render me speechless and staring into space after several passages.
I could go on and on about the Author's word prowess, exemplary writing skills, and extremely tight editing but all you really need to know is that Malediction is an absolutely brilliant, sensual and devastating must-read, and I encourage the reader to take their time and savor every bit of it, just as I will again in the very near future!

This was not my first delve into a JD Lexx book. Having read two other stories by this author. I was immediately captivated by his writings.

*5 "good girl" stars*
Well this was quite a book! When I first started reading it took me a couple of pages to get used to the writing style. This author has an extensive vocabulary that is rarely seen in other books. Once I got the hang of it I fell in love. This book is very different than most of the books I usually read. It is a story within stories. I know it sounds a little confusing but it really works. So we have the author J.D Lexx and he is telling the "love" story of Valeria and himself. Valeria is very young when they first meet and at first its strictly friendship. In time their connection grows stronger but because of the age difference J.D is very careful with the interaction he has with Valeria. this is all written very tastefully. Their are only hints of his feeling for Valeria and it never makes you feel creepy in any way. Which is really great because if it did it would definitely take away from the book. In telling us a few details of his relationship with Valeria he also weaves in "confessions" from different couples and the erotic encounters that helped them be sexually free. It was just really refreshing seeing how he weaved his own story with the confessions of others. However, the best confessions come from Valeria herself. You get to see the evolution of this young girl into the self that she ultimately wants to be. But let me tell you there are some twists and turns you do not see coming! This book is absolutely perfect. It was refreshing and tasteful. I cant wait to read more.

This was my first time reading anything by J.D.Lexx and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this amazing story. J.D.Lexx has given us a story that sucks us in and holds you there from start to finish and will leave you wanting more from his author. The amazing story has a lot of twists and turns and some surprises you don't quite see coming. Malediction is an erotic romance that's filled with passion,mystery,and a little touch of humor. This story lets us traveler to New York, and then to romantic New Orleans and then to Prague, such different parts of the world,all it does is leads up to is to pursuit one that just may appear "inexplicit" The characters are all interesting ,alluring, specialty the way that they are described ,and have feels of lustfulness. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out where this journey the writer was leading us on,I just couldn't wait to see what was going to unfold. The author has wrote this story that makes you feel like your living this journey with all the characters and visiting the magical places with them . The erotic scenes were steamy hot that I've read. The descriptive way that JD Lexx writes is what makes this an amazing story and I just can't wait until the next book. I could go on and tell you more about this story ,but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this amazing story, you won't be disappointed.

I just don't know what to say....I was in totally awe.....
I do have to admit,this is my first novel I have ever read from J.D. Lexx and I have fallen in love with his way of writing.
These tales of conquest, of Lexx , is so descriptive, sensual, seductive and mysterious I was totally spelled bound. And the way he lures you in, with every twist and turn of his confessions,about finding Valeria, the one he so desperately seeks, will totally take your breath away.
These journeys he takes,are filled with such lustful and erotic scenes, it will leave you wanting more, a journey that seems to have no end.
This novel is such a beautiful and well written erotic romance that it just grabs you on so many different levels, that it will expand your mind and open up your imagination
as he takes you through his Confessions.
JD Lexx definitely has a brilliant way with words....
I recommend this book for those who enjoy the Darker Hunt.

Malediction has a great storyline. As I read the book I ran a gamut of emotions; I laughed, was sad, then happy, I sighed at the erotic love scenes and worried over what would happen next. The author does have a unique way of spinning a tale. JD definitely gets into the reader's mind and speaks to you.
In this book, you go on a personal journey as Lexx travels the world looking for the elusive “V”. As you read his confessions and those of others you’ll feel inner desires and struggles he faces. The grip that love and lust has on him for one woman who seems to always be just out of his reach, one step ahead. Does he find her and have his happy ending or is he destined to crave the love that just wasn't meant to be?
I must admit I am very torn in rating this book. At first I had a very hard time reading it as it seemed like I was reading a term paper that was heavy on filler yet the storyline that was unfolding made me want to keep reading for that I would give it a 4*. But thankfully I kept reading and for the gripping storyline I would give it a 5*. If you like thrilling erotic mysteries, this book is a must.

Mostly written in narrative form and with words not commonly used, showing the author to be well versed in the English language. The story itself I was unsure if this was based on real life events from the author or pure imagination, if it is the former then his imagination is quite a busy one. Honestly I struggled with it, I found it a bit confusing in places, seeming to jump about a bit. The beginning I found a bit lengthy and not really explaining anything. I do feel however for the right reader this is an exceptional story, enthralling and captivating in every way, just not for me. I had to concentrate just a bit to hard to take it in, which for me spoilt it, I like to be able to relax with a more easy read. However the author is educated to a high degree, any readers that like a reading challenge, a story that has more depth and content would most likely enjoy this book. There is some sexual content that was good and extremely well written, and I did enjoy those. Even though this isn't really my cup of tea I still felt the author did a great job and as such I scored it a 5 star read.

This book had me intrigued and grabbed at my imagination I loved all the twists and turns. JD Lexx has a way of writing that pulls the reader in, I felt like I was part of this mysterious sensual story, visiting places like New York New Orleans and Prague, places I've dreamed of seeing and exploring. "PROSIM " a word I will not soon forget * wink* . This book was brilliant ! Drop everything ! and get your copy of Malediction you won't be disappointed. This book is one erotic adrenaline thrill ride trying to catch my breath to absorb every erotic Titillating moment, an extremely hot, and Sensual engaging read . I started this book a few days ago and thought it was a great suspense packed sensual read written in, the male POV, wich is unique but not my favorite writing style in general, and I gave this a shot regardless of that aspect. I thought this will be a wonderful read for a mature Adult audience some of the dialogue is written in a well rounded educated format that was at times hard for me to follow, but I was able to finish this book and although I don't think it's for me I do think many others will love this authors unique writing style and a hot book written in male POV:) JD Lexx has a very unique way of telling his story as if your walking through the life of his character yourself, and takes the reader on a journey throughout this book. I gave this book 4 stars because although it was different then my average book I thought it posessed a lot of great qualities and so much uniqueness that made it a great read for others who enjoy a good suspenseful adult romance. I definitely would recommend that you take the time and check it out!

I finished this book a few days ago and I really was at a loss for words about what I was going to say in my review. It's hard to put my emotions into words when I think about this book. J.D. has a way with words that just draws you in and keeps you wanting more. He's an amazing writer and with each confession I felt like I was falling deeper and deeper into his world. The confessions were all so steamy I thought my tablet might catch fire. Let's just say J.D. can write some of the best sex scenes I've ever read. I felt like I was a voyeur in each of these scenes.
I was so enthralled with Lexx and Valeria's story. After each confession I couldn't wait to read more between those two. I don't want to say too much and give anything away because everyone really needs to read this book. J.D.'s writing is that good, his words will make you stop and think about your life, the world. I felt every emotion in this book, I even cried a little.
Thank you for this enthralling book J.D. I can't wait to go on the next adventure with you.

J.D. Lexi has a way with words that can just blow me away with his elegant way of dressing up his stories with beautiful, description and sensuality. I believe that his previous stories in The Crimson Confessions were like appetizers leading up to the most satisfying meal. He takes you on this amazing journey in search of the elusive Valeria.
The descriptive way that J.D. unfolds his story is just...seductive and pleasing. The sex is erotic and just, you are forced to use your mind and feel.
