About this ebook

On her hands and knees, Nikki moved to the other side of the body. She couldn’t stop her fingers from trembling as she brushed the dark hair off the victim’s face. She couldn’t look away. “I know her…”

When Special Agent Nikki Hunt is called to the Boundary Waters near Stillwater, Minnesota, it’s not just the cold that shocks her to her core: the body of a young woman has been found frozen beside a remote lake. Nikki is devastated to see the victim is her childhood friend Annmarie, and she recognizes the velvet ribbon tied in her hair as the hallmark of a serial killer who she has been hunting for years.

Desperate for justice, Nikki throws herself into the case. But she is shaken by what she finds at Annmarie’s home: a dead-bolt on her front door and a map in the spare room, with the locations of murdered women circled in thick, red marker. Did Annmarie know she was next? Then Nikki finds out that the killer has left a clue in Annmarie’s bedroom: a photo of Nikki’s mother that no one has ever seen. Has the murderer at large been in Nikki’s life since she was a child?

Nikki soon realizes that the key to unlocking this case is in her own family, but digging up the past could put her own daughter in danger. She has spent her whole life protecting the ones she loves, but to find this killer Nikki might have to risk everything…

Fans of Karin Slaughter, Lisa Gardner and Robert Dugoni will be completely addicted to this heart-pounding thriller. Once you start reading, the twists and turns will have you racing towards the end.

I received a free electronic ARC of this novel from Netgalley, Stacy Green, and Bookouture. Thank you all for sharing your hard work with me. I have read Lost Angels of my own volition, and this review reflects my honest opinion of this work. I can gladly add Stacy green to my authors being followed, and recommend her work to friends and family. "Lost Angels" is the third of a series (Nikki Hunt #3) but it is completely stand-alone. I want to read the previous works because I like Stacy Green's style and enjoyed the location of these stories. Seated around the massive national parks on the borderland between Canada and the US, I fell in love with the idea of this place while reading a Nevada Barr novel years ago, and added it to my bucket list to be explored one nice hot summertime. Unfortunately for our warm, compassionate protagonists, this tale takes place in the very early spring, just as the ice begins to think about breaking up on all that lovely water. Added to the challenge Mother Nature offers, Nikki and her family are subject to the whims of a serial killer, one from way back in the day. Add in the unstable weather and very hidden family secrets and you have a perfect storm.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW Review for 'Lost Angels' by Stacy Green. Read and reviewed via NetGalley for Stacy Green, Bookouture publishers and Bookouture anonymous Publication date 27th August 2021. This is the second book I have read by this author. It is also the third book in the 'Nikki Hunt' series but can be read as a standalone. I have previously read 'The Girls In The Snow' which is the first book in the 'Nikki Hunt' series and which I highly recommend. I was originally drawn to this book by its beautiful eye catching cover and its intriguing synopsis and title. The synopsis stated that 'Fans of Karin Slaughter, Lisa Gardner and Robert Dugoni will be completely addicted to this heart-pounding thriller.' I am a huge fan of Karin Slaughter and Lisa Gardner so am looking forward to seeing if this lives up to this statement. I am also a huge fan of Stacy Green and if this is half as good as 'The Girls In The Snow' it is sure to be a page turning read. I must admit I was also biased

Jaw dropping ending. Full throttle all the way, with moments of stillness so you can catch your breath. Pain and struggle as Nikki battles Frost and deals with tangles in her relationship. Everything was vivid, my heart hurt for her. Through it all we still see this is a team and it was so awesome so see more of Liam and Courtney. This is a magnificent, twist, heart stopping thriller. Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for the arc. You are one of my favorite publishers and willing share your awesome authors with readers who love them, and reviewing. This book is a conclusion on the Frost case that started in book 1, but not an ending for Nikki Hunt, thank goodness. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. I recommend you read book 1 and 2 first for the full effect, but enough info is provided you can read this as a stand alone. Why cheat yourself, grab 1 and 2.
