Partnership Development Americorps VISTA

Idaho Workforce Development Council (WDC) champions the development and implementation of a statewide, strategic workforce development plan that meets industries’ needs today and tomorrow. The WDC is comprised of 37 private and public sector members representing Idaho’s key industries and geographic diversity and is supported by a staff of 11 - 15 professionals. Our work gets Idahoans into the careers they want and puts them on a path to prosperity. We also make sure Idaho’s employers have the educated, skilled talent they need to thrive, today and in the future. We do it by bringing cohesion and providing the expertise and funding to set things in motion for our workforce development partners. We are looking for a dedicated individual to provide outreach to community-based organizations around the state. You will identify areas for potential partnerships and collaborations, collect information on workforce needs, develop materials, and ensure organizations are well connected to our programs through our web-based Council Hub. You will gather data from our various workforce training programs, prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, and build content for the Council’s Work-Based Learning Asset Map to communicate current opportunities to Idahoans and employers. Ideal candidate has a passion for building new relationships, new systems, attention to detail, problem solving skills, great writing skills, social media etiquette, and ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. This is a year long position. There is space at our physical location in downtown Boise for this position, or remote work could be considered. Please submit your resume and cover letter to Sherawn Reberry at sherawn.reberry@wdc.idaho.gov OR apply via the AmeriCorps portal by the close of business.
