Mesosphere Raises $74 Million From Microsoft and HP Enterprise

Mesosphere Inc., which makes cloud computing software, said it raised $73.5 million from investors, including Microsoft Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Co.
The round, which was led by HP Enterprise, brings Mesosphere’s total funding to about $126 million. Microsoft and HP are each looking for an edge in the cloud computing market, which is led by Amazon.com Inc. and estimated to be worth $204 billion by research firm Gartner.
