CROWNPOINT, N.M. (KRQE)– The Crownpoint High School principal has been fired following a secret recording of him making nasty comments about Navajo’s and gays.
The person recording says that principal, Dr. J.D. Reed, was talking with employees of Crownpoint High School about the people in Ramah and members of the Gallup Mckinley School Board.
The recording quickly sparked outrage and demands for his firing.
At one point in the conversation Reed said white people are discriminated against by the Navajo School Board members who he outed as gay.
There is another man in the recording who laughed and joined in on Reed’s comments.
We reached out to the superintendent to see if he’s been identified and if he’s facing any disciplinary action, but we have not heard back.
