Humongous 10-foot long ocean sunfish poses for photos for British diver in Bali
Stefan Follows captured the moment the sunfish ventured from the depths to more shallow water in Bali
STUNNING images of a diver swimming with a sun fish frolicking in Bali have surfaced.
The huge, ten-foot long ocean sun fish dwarfs the British diver taking photographs of the magnificent creature in the underwater shots.
The bizarrely shaped ninety-five stone fish, also known as a mola mola, made the diver look tiny as it got up close and personal but lucky for him, the fish isn’t dangerous to humans.
Another image shows several divers scramble to get close to this remarkable creature.
The snaps were taken by London photographer Stefan Follows, who has since relocated to Thailand, while he was on a trip to Bali.
The fish, which can weigh as much as 2000 pounds, swam calmly next to the divers.
Stefan Follows, a British master scuba diver and tropical research diver, caught a rare sighting of the huge fish off the coast of Bali.
The sea creature usually stays in the deep ocean but Follows managed to get photos of it as it ventured into the more shallow water.
Follows told Barcroft media: "I have been living and working as a diving instructor, centre manager, and guide in the Gulf of Thailand for over a decade, which has allowed me virtually endless opportunities to indulge in my passion for teaching, diving, photography and all things aquatic.
“When I’m not teaching I’m taking pictures."
Follows gave up his job as a graphic designer in 2001 and moved to Thailand to become a dive instructor.
He has since been recognised with a dozen awards thanks to his photography of underwater scenes from Bali to the Baltic.
