Community comes together to support woman battling cancer

JEFFERSON COUNTY, OH — The Mingo Junction community and beyond came together to support a local woman battling cancer.

Chris Mains was diagnosed with cancer and tonight her family and friends held an event for her at Townhouse Tavern in Mingo Junction.

Mains says she has a new outlook on her fight after initially receiving a bleak diagnosis.

"We have this just so everyone can come and say Chris we're behind you," said her friend Kristy Hoagland. "We're with you and you're gonna beat this."

The event featured food, games, raffles and more.
