Organized by

September 11 was officially established in 2009 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance (“9/11 Day”) under federal law. Since then, 9/11 Day has grown to become the nation’s largest annual day of charitable engagement. Each year, nearly 15 million Americans and many others from over 150 countries participate by volunteering, donating to charities, and by simply performing good deeds that help others. The nonprofit group 9/11 Day runs the 9/11 Day of Service, in collaboration with many partners. The mission of 9/11 day is to annually unite the nation, and turn September 11 from a day of tragedy into a day of doing goodin tribute to the 9/11 victims and their families, and the many who rose in service in response to the attacks, including first responders, rescue and recovery workers, and members of our military.
