Miley Cyrus Reveals Why She And Liam Hemsworth Haven’t Gotten Married Yet

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have had a very rocky relationship since they first met in 2009, and although they seem to be in a much happier place now, the singer has finally spoken out about why they’ve yet to tie the knot.

The pair announced their engagement in June 2012, but called quits on their relationship in September 2013. At the time, fans were devastated, having always looked at them as #CoupleGoals.

But it seems going their separate ways was the best decision for them both. Speaking to The Sun On Sunday, the 24-year-old said, “It’s good for people to have that space to grow individually. Otherwise when you’re with someone from 16 until 24, you grow into the same person.

“We got to become individuals. I hope everything stays the same. It feels like nothing changed except we grew up a lot.”

She and Liam announced that they were back together in January 2016, adding that the engagement was back on and that they’re living together in Malibu. But just because they’re engaged, doesn’t mean she’s booking the church.

Miley continued, “I don’t envision marriage. I’m 24. I hope I get to live a little bit more. I have too much living to do [before I get married]. Three years ago, if you’d asked me if I’d be here, this happy with this man, I’d have been stunned. I’m just riding this out.

“In some relationships, you lose yourself by being with someone else. Actually, it made me find myself more. I have no idea what the next three years will bring, but if it’s possible to get even happier, I’ll take it.”

So there you have it, she’s young and in no rush.
