Trailers! Sizzle reels! Sneak peeks! Now this is what Comic-Con is all about.

Unfortunately, we only got a meager three trailers from Hollywood’s biggest superhero properties. Luckily, however, San Diego Comic-Con has become more than just Marvel and DC. This year included some great trailers from Netflix, HBO and Fox to help fans who are anxiously waiting for a movie or new season of their favorite TV series to drop.

It can be a pain in the behind trying to track down all of the notable trailers that debuted this past week, so we’ve collected them all for you, putting them in one place.

The Superheroes

Whether you’re a Marvel maniac or a DC devotee, there’s plenty to get excited about out of this year’s convention. Both Marvel and DC will be having major superhero crossover events on the small and silver screens respectively.

THE DEFENDERS

Marvel television is rolling out The Defenders on Netflix on Aug. 18. This series will be the culmination of every show Marvel has released on the streaming platform so far, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.

Each of those series’ title heroes will team up and face off against Madame Gao and The Hand. Elektra will be making a return appearance as well, in addition to a new villain, Alexandra, played by Sigourney Weaver. The Defenders will be followed up by Marvel’s next solo act, The Punisher, which debuts in November. Marvel, however, has not yet made the trailer for that show available to the public.

THOR: RAGNAROK

Thor: Ragnarok got its second trailer, featuring Thor joining forces with the Hulk and Loki against Cate Blanchett’s Hela, the Asgardian queen of death. That film is being directed by Taika Waititi, star and co-director of the horror comedy film What We Do in the Shadows. The third and final Thor film will premiere on Nov. 3.

MARVEL’s INHUMANS

The first two episodes of Marvel’s Inhumans will hit IMAX theaters on Sept. 1, followed by its television debut on Sept. 29. Fans have been, shall we say, clamoring to see if Medusa’s famous prehensile hair could live up to expectations after a trailer leaked with unfinished special effects and numerous promo images from the series. Reactions have been ... mixed.

THE GIFTED

The X-Men are coming to television (again), or at least Mutants are, with The Gifted, Fox’s new show about a family with Mutant children on the run in a world that hates and fears them. Notable X-Men characters, including Eclipse, Thunderbird, Polaris and Blink are featured in this trailer alone.

JUSTICE LEAGUE

On the DC side of things, Warner Bros. premiered a new trailer for Justice League. The first team-up film of the DC Extended Universe will feature Batman and Wonder Woman, as well as newcomers Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash. Together, they’ll be taking on Darkseid’s parademon forces when the film hits theaters on Nov. 17.

Action Movies

They’re feature length, they’re sci-fi and they premiered at Comic-Con this weekend. We’ve got kaiju, elves and, with Ready Player One, everything in between.

BRIGHT

Will Smith stars in this Netflix original film from the pen of Max Landis (Chronicle) and the directorial hand of David Ayer (Suicide Squad), in a world where modern humans and “modern” mythological creatures coexist.

READY PLAYER ONE

Ready Player One is the movie where that gum you like really is going to come back in style. And also the movies, games, clothes, actors and directors you like — as long as they were from the ‘80s. This teaser alone has Freddy Krueger and a DeLorean in it — and also the Iron Giant. He’s not from the ‘80s, but I guess he gets to play along anyway.

Prestige TV

HBO, Star Trek, Netflix and The Walking Dead — they all came to Comic-Con. Here’s what they brought.

GAME OF THRONES

Game of Thrones just aired the first episode of its penultimate season. It didn’t have to bring anything to Comic-Con. But it did. And if you’re watching this after Sunday night, you may have seen some of the footage in the above clip.

WESTWORLD

But you know who really didn’t have to bring anything to Comic-Con? Westworld, which brought a teaser trailer to Hall H even though the crew is only one week into shooting for the series’ highly anticipated second season.

STRANGER THINGS

Stranger Things will hit Netflix the Friday before Halloween this year, but not on Halloween, which is good, because just think about having to get up and answer the doorbell mid-episode.

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY

After a much beleaguered pre-production journey, with showrunners pulling out and premiere dates delayed, Star Trek: Discovery feels like it’s back on track, and nowhere more so than in this klingon-filled trailer.

THE WALKING DEAD

Even though The Walking Dead’s seventh season ended just a few scant months ago, the AMC series brought a five-minute trailer for its eighth to Comic-Con.

The honorable miscellaneous few

Nickelodeon is here to get your nostalgic juices flowing, with new special TV events returning to some of its classic series. And hey, there’s even a video game trailer! See, there are video games at Comic-Con.

MIDDLE-EARTH: SHADOW OF WAR

You heard it first at San Diego, folks. First, orcs were sexy, and now ... Shelob is sexy.

HEY ARNOLD!: THE JUNGLE MOVIE

After 15 years of wild speculation, the creators of Hey Arnold! are finally going to answer one important question: Who are Arnold’s parents and what the heck happened to them? But until it premieres on Nov. 23rd, you’ll just have to watch this clip from it.

ROCKO’S MODERN LIFE: STATIC CLING

And speaking of blasts from the past, Rocko’s Modern Life is returning to screens, with its creator and the majority of its original voice cast. The TV event, which does not have a release date yet, will pick up with Rocko, Heffer and Filbert after they’ve been lost in space for 20 years, as they try to adjust to an all new kind of modern life.
