I gave it four stars because it was a really good continuation of the first story, and Scarlett continued to grow as a character, but the second most important character, Colton, felt a little bit phoned-in. He wasn't as present as he should have been, even when he was away. I wouldn't mind one more book to make this a trilogy, in which Colton and Scarlett explore the baby time Aunt Tish suggested. We could also see the threads tied that were left a little open in this story with Brielle and Casey.

It was wonderful to catch up with Scarlett and Colton again! I liked book one a lot and I like this one even more and it stands alone nicely. All I could do was shake my head at Scarlett's decisions but when you discover the 'why' behind them it tugs at your heart. That's all I'm going to say, no spoilers here, read the book for yourself and enjoy. Nicely done! I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an Advanced Reader Copy.
