The National Trust for Historic Preservation, the premiere organization in the United States dedicated to saving places of historic significance, announces a partnership with Mike Wolfe, creator and star of the hit series “American Pickers” and renowned citizen preservationist. The year-long relationship is designed to combine the resources and expertise of the Trust, the respected, privately funded nonprofit organization founded in 1949, with the huge audience following Wolfe, the popular culture phenomenon whose passion for saving the spirit of America’s history by saving the things that tell its story has ignited a national movement.

“The National Trust is a big fan of Mike Wolfe’s work, and we are thrilled by this opportunity to combine our shared commitment to saving important places that build the foundation of America’s future through this exciting new partnership,” said Stephanie Meeks, president and CEO of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The Trust and Wolfe are developing initiatives, to be announced this spring, that will allow them to share their messages with each others’ established followers and at the same time broaden their collective reach to a wider audience with the message that our stories are what make us a people and those stories are found in the places and things left as a legacy by those who built this country.
