What are the super-rich planning for Valentine's Day?

From a rare pair of Gucci shoes, to spending £110,000 on recording and releasing an album, Britain's wealthiest are pulling out all the stops for this year's day of love. Ten Group says one of its members has written and recorded an album for a loved one. The recording took place at London-based Metropolis Studio, with the help of Grammy Award-winning engineers, mixers and producers. The 'unique' album will be released on iTunes on Valentine’s Day. Quintessentially adds that one of its members, whose partner will be away over Valentine's Day, has booked out a super suite at Claridge’s and reserved a table for one at Mayfair's Sexy Fish so they won't miss out on the celebrations. Picture: Claridges Credit: Claridges
Meanwhile Ten has also been tasked with sourcing and purchasing a rare pair of Gucci shoes in time for Sunday. The firm has tracked them down in the Madrid Gucci store, and will be hand-delivering them to the lucky recipient at a London hotel. Picture: Bloomberg Credit: Bloomberg
You can't go wrong with roses, but how much is too much? Last year, Ten says it ordered 999 roses for one lucky lady in Shanghai. This year, it has received numerous requests to order 99 roses. In China, the number of flowers you send has hidden meanings. 99 roses means “I want to be with you forever” and 999 means ‘infinite love'. A dozen means ‘soul connection’ and two dozen means ’I miss you. I'm thinking about you”. However, don’t ever send 14 flowers to someone in China, as this is considered extremely bad luck. Or how about some black roses? Quintessentially is arranging delivery of 5 single long stem, large, black roses to a B&B in Scotland at 7am on Sunday morning. Picture: Flickr/Spider Stratagem Credit: Flickr/Spider Stratagem
The Setai, Miami
Lavish gifts abroad are popular. Quintessentially has just organised a last-minute trip to Miami in time for this weekend. The company has sourced tickets to a sold-out concert and sorted a table at a fully-booked Italian Steakhouse.

Quintessentially was asked to create a signature scent for a member's wife, which the company arranged through royal perfumers' Floris. This bespoke Eau de Parfum should reflect her uniqueness and will be produced exclusively for her. The starting price for an experience of this kind is around £4,500.
Requests are also coming in to book Valentine’s Cupid Capsule on the London Eye. Priced from £37.50, dates will receive a glass of champagne and a box of chocolates while enjoying the vast views of London.
