College financial aid help available in Vineland

djneighbors@thedailyjournal.com
Students and parents can now begin applying for college financial aid on Oct. 1, three months earlier than in previous years.

VINELAND - Applying for financial aid for education beyond high school can be confusing, especially with the paperwork that is required for students seeking any federal or New Jersey aid, including grants and loans.

Cumberland County College will host free, moderated workshops to help families get the help they need in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the form that is required to apply for financial assistance programs.

Supported by the nonprofit FAFSA Days program, each of the workshops will mobilize trained financial aid professionals who can help families take the first step in preparing students to attend college. English- and Spanish-speaking professionals will be available to assist those in attendance.

Cumberland County College’s FAFSA Days workshops will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 20, March 12, April 16 and May 21 in the Luciano Conference Center on the college’s campus at Sherman Avenue and College Drive.
