The first Soul Food Truck Fest is coming to Austin. Get a taste of soul food from food trucks around Austin that specialize in soul food, Cajun, Southern comfort and barbecue. The food truck lineup includes the Rolling Rooster, Dirty Glove Midwest BBQ, My Granny’s Kitchen and more. Attendees will have a chance to judge the food trucks for Grand Champion, Best Side and Best Dessert.
In addition to the food, the event will have a DJ, kid friendly activities that include bounce houses and games.
The festival will be held at Freedom Plaza, behind the George Washington Carver Museum, on September 30 from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here. The Food Bank will receive $1 per ticket sold and a portion of the proceeds.
