It’s no surprise that companies with successful products grow their customer base, increase their revenues and outperform competitors.

When Under Armour founder Kevin Plank initially started the company in 1996 by selling athletic performance clothing out of his car, he had no way of knowing what the future had in store. After the launch of his original HeatGear shirts and a $17,000 purchase by Georgia Tech, Plank quickly became an industry name with more than $100,000 worth of orders to fill in 1997.

While the press was busy covering the runaway success of the brand, behind-the-curtain changes were taking place internally as well – bringing on new talent to handle the rapid demand and expansion from the trunk of Plank’s car into a legitimate warehouse headquarters. With prosperity comes growth, and Under Armour now has more than 16,000 employees around the world.

This trajectory is the goal for many small companies starting out in tech, especially in a lucrative city like Los Angeles.

For Mythical Games, it’s always been in the cards. With a mission to change the way digital assets are owned in video games, the launch of their most recent Mythical Marketplace offers a portfolio of platform and consumer products alike. Platform solutions, for example, enable content creators to configure, mint and manage NFTs, which saw a drastic spike in popularity at the beginning of 2021 and permeated into everyday modern culture.

The Marketplace launch has proven successful and is anticipated to set the stage for consumer product offering at a global level. Next up? Rapid team expansion and hiring.
