At today's LOVE Park groundbreaking, the newly-minted Mayor Jim Kenney announced that the skating ban would be lifted until February 15. "Come back for one more spin," he said.
After the 15, construction will officially begin on the LOVE Park redesign, which was designed by Hargreaves Associates and is expected to be completed in 2017. In addition to restoring and moving the LOVE sculpture, there will be a new saucer-shaped welcome center that doubles as an art installation.
