An alteration at Moruca in the North West District early Sunday morning led to man from the area being fatally stabbed.
Reports are that Bobby Ferreira, said to be in his late 20s, was stabbed by another resident near the Kumaka Recreational Ground around 1 am on Sunday.
He was rushed to the nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by medical personnel there.
One man has been taken into custody while police are hunting for two others.
It’s the second incident of its kind in recent times in the area. During the early hours of Boxing Day in December 2016, Remington Dindyal was stabbed following an altercation with another man. He recovered from his injuries soon after.
