What school students think about choosing VET

New research shows that primary and secondary school students have a higher interest in vocational education and training (VET) related jobs than they do in post-school VET education and training pathways.

This indicates a concerning misalignment between their occupational aspirations and their understanding of what VET has to offer in planning for their future.

Hear what students are saying about working and studying in VET-related areas by joining the webinar Choosing VET: aspirations, intentions and choices.

When: Tuesday 31 October, 1:30pm - 2:30pm ACDT
Chair: Dr Genevieve Knight, Research Operations Manager, NCVER
Presenters: Professor Jenny Gore, University of Newcastle; Dr Leanne Fray, University of Newcastle; and Dr Justin Brown, Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER)
