Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has clashed with Cesar Azpilicueta as they've battled to keep their season on the rails.

Sarri faces a fight to save his job at Chelsea, with the west London giants expected to wield the axe should they fail to win either of their next two matches - against Manchester United in the FA Cup and Manchester City in the EFL Cup.

The Daily Mail says the manager has clashed with Chelsea captain Azpilicueta amid their woes.

It is said he has exchanged frank words with Sarri, who is unwilling to change his ways.

Chelsea players are unhappy with the way Sarri has deployed Azpilicueta throughout their time in charge.

And they also feel Gary Cahill has been treated unfairly, with the real Chelsea captain currently out in the cold.
