Describes four attributes of leadership in educational technology: (1) envisioning opportunities in a field experiencing rapid evolution; (2) displacing cherished misconceptions about teaching and learning with visions that more accurately depict reality; (3) inspiring others to invest in a future divergent from tradition; and (4) discouraging followers by shedding authority.
