Uzbekistan to create commission on implementation of ILO convention

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to create a National Interdepartmental Commission on the implementation of ratified Conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
The RIA portal published a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On additional measures on implementation of the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), ratified by Uzbekistan, in 2017-2020”.
According to the document, Uzbekistan will create the Interdepartmental Commission on the implementation of ratified ILO Conventions.
Deputy Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva will head the commission.
The commission will include 18 members, including deputy ministers of labour, foreign affairs, finance, economy, public education, higher and secondary education, interior affairs, healthcare and chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
The Commission will prepare reports of the Government of Uzbekistan on the implementation of ILO Conventions and Recommendations, take part in international conferences, meetings, consultations and other events and articulate the position of Uzbekistan on labor and employment.
The Commission will also perform a complex of measures on implementation of the ratified ILO conventions, ratified by Uzbekistan, in 2017-2020.
