The best way to get your perfume to last all day long

There’s nothing better than smelling extra ah-mazing just from the spritz of a bottle. And when you have a scent that you love, you want it to last all day. But lets face it, most of the time that yummy smell you sprayed in the AM, is completely gone by mid-school day (ugh!). So we've scoured the internet to find all the tips 'n' tricks you need to make your perfume really stick. Here's the secret to making it last so your fave scent will linger from the time you hit the halls, until you're ready to catch some ZZZ's (you're welcome).

Fresh skin is best.

Apply perfume right after your shower or bath. Turns out, the warm air helps your pores to open, which will trap in the scent and keep it on your skin much longer.

Use a lotion.

After you spray your perfume, allow it to dry for 5 minutes. Then, moisturize your skin to prolong that floral scent you love. Just make sure it’s unscented so you aren't masking the smell you are going for.

Know where to spray.

Your pulse points have warm blood, and heat is what activates the scent in perfumes. Spray sparingly on the space behind your ears, bottom of your throat, wrists, inside your elbows, and behind your knees. Tip: You can also spray a cotton ball and put it under the wire in your bra, between your cleavage area.

Whatever you do, DON'T rub it in.

A lot of us do this if we feel like we sprayed too close to the skin—but all this really does is break down the scent, which makes it last only a few hours.
