Broncos defeat Patriots 20-18, advance to Super Bowl 50

Thank you Stephen Gostkowski for your botched extra point. The Broncos will remember you next Christmas.

The Denver Broncos have held-off the New England Patriots 20-18 and will represent the American Football Conference in Super Bowl 50 on February 7.

Broncos fans, you can finally breath.

Manning vs. Brady Chapter 17 was a whole lot less about the quarterbacks and a whole lot more about the defenses.

Phil Simms, for the most part, says some of the most ignorant and foolish comments in the world, but he did manage to say something somewhat logical. Simms said, “this is likely one of the best defenses that Brady has ever faced.”

On a critical fourth down with under two minutes left, Brady connected with Rob Gronkowski in double coverage for a 40-yard connection to put the Patriots on the Denver 10-yard line. The Patriots failed to score on their next three plays, but again went to a double covered Gronkowski on fourth-and-goal to put New England down two with 12 seconds left.

The two-point conversion was hardly threatening as Brady was put on his back as the ball fluttered into the arms of Bradley Roby to send the Broncos to the Super Bowl.

Let the orange and blue colors fly, folks. The Broncos are headed to the Super Bowl.

Peyton Manning and Co. will be paying close attention to the Carolina vs. Arizona game this evening to find out who they will meet up with in Santa Clara.
