The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile is back and its coming to Woking. The town is set to host its fifth Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 20 March, and it invites local people to come together and enter now.

Local heroes from Woking will be walking and running themselves proud during the Sainsburys Sport Relief Mile to raise life-changing money for Sport Relief 2016.

The colourful, cheerful and eager Milers will be doing their bit to make a difference to people living across the UK and the worlds poorest communities.

Setting off from Woking Hockey Club, the Goldsworth Park Mile will take in the sights of Goldsworth Park Lake and is set to be an incredible event. It all starts at 12.30pm.

Cllr Beryl Hunwicks, Woking Borough Councils Portfolio Holder for Health and Wellbeing, said: The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile in Goldsworth Park is here and its your time to walk or run yourself proud. From little ones with their mums and dads, to runners up against the clock theres something for everyone to make themselves feel proud on this special day.

Sport Relief is back from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 March 2016 and there are more ways than ever for you to take part, change lives and feel proud. Whether you get sponsored to enter an event at the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Games or fundraise with friends and family at home, work or school, youll help people living incredibly tough lives. In fact, half of all the money raised by the public is spent right here at home in the UK, with the other half used to make a difference in the worlds poorest communities.

This year, you can either run the Goldsworth Park Mile on 20 March or take on the Swimathon at Wokings Pool in the Park between 18 and 20 March. Entrants can choose to complete 1, 3 or 6 miles, or take on the Swimathon challenge individually or in a team of between two and five people over 1.5km, 2.5km or 5km.

Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives. The money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, across the UK and the worlds poorest communities. It all leads up to the Sport Relief weekend and a fantastic night of TV on the BBC.

Sport Relief 2016 will take place from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 March 2016. You can run, swim, cycle or even walk yourself proud at events across the country. There's a distance for everyone, whether you're sporty or not. Find out more at www.sportrelief.com
