The Energised Workplace

Written pre-pandemic, but relevant mid and post-pandemic, The Energized Workplace was Perry Timms's attempt at urging a redesign of work to account for people's energy. What brings people to life in their work? How can we align that with what needs to be done? And once we've recalibrated the human spirit and machinery of work, how can people look after their energy to optimise performance and enhance a sense of fulfilment?

In this masterclass, we will look at the macro and micro-elements of work design. The shape and dynamic of work mixed with the individual agency to build the conditions where we can co-create, adapt and deploy the best way to succeed. We'll look at organisation design; workflow and allocation; time and energy management and a sense of accomplishment that will redefine how we team up to tune-up.

Interactive, participative and revealing, this masterclass will lead to enhanced understanding of human energy at work, a performance flow that aligns with wellbeing and stimulating experiences for people, giving you a design toolkit to create a more energised workforce for your continued challenges ahead.

About the Speaker

Perry Timms is the founder and Chief Energy Officer of PTHR - an 8-person global consultancy, setting out to create better business for a better world. Perry is an international and 2x TEDx speaker and award-winning writer on the future of work, HR & learning. Fingers crossed, PTHR will become a BCorp Certified Organisation later in 2020.

Perry’s 2017 book Transformational HR was an Amazon.com Top 30 HR seller shortly after its release (and is due for a second edition in 2021), but before that, his second book - The Energised Workplace - published in August 2020.

Perry’s work is influenced by human-centred, design and systems thinking plus agile, inclusive and autonomous ways of working that enhance personal fulfilment and organisation effectiveness.

Perry is Adjunct Professor at Hult International Business School and Ashridge Management School; a visiting fellow at Cranfield School of Management, and Sheffield Hallam University.

Perry is a proud Chartered member of the CIPD and is a 3x member of HR Magazine’s HR Most Influential Thinkers making the top 10 in 2018 & 2019 and a 2020 Top 100 Global HR Influencer on numerous lists, a LinkedIn Learning instructor and Fellow of the RSA.

You can join Zoom via your laptop, tablet or smartphone. If you are joining by smartphone, you will need to download the free Zoom app first. You can join Zoom by telephone only but you will only be able to hear the audio (similar to a telephone conference call).
