For a few years now, monster trucks have been doing backflips. Why? Why not. It's impressive to watch and either ends in a spectacular success or a spectacular failure. They've also been hugely impressive to watch.

Those just became boring

This weekend, Lee O'Donnell and Mad Scientist one upped every other truck and driver by doing the first ever front flip. In a truck. In an arena. This is a thing that seriously happened.

How? Off a jump, O'Donnell was able to land in a wheelie. He kept the front wheels off the ground with a lot of gas and went straight to the next jump. Hitting it with the front wheels in the air made the truck do a front flip where it then landed on its wheels.

That's insanity. Can you imagine doing that? Of course, he then followed it up with a backflip where the truck landed on the roof, but who cares? He did a front flip. In a monster truck.

It makes us wonder what the next feat could be. A corkscrew? A triple backflip? A double frontflip? A trick where the guy jumps out of the truck before it does the flips and then gets back in before it lands somehow? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
