Christmas entertainment from the BID

The BID is bringing roaming entertainment into the town centre on Saturday, 14 December from 11am to 4pm.

Performance times follow and will take place in different parts of the town centre:

On Saturday, 21 December the BID is funding Luton Concert Band for two 45-minute performances in St George's Square, at 12noon and then at 1.15pm.

Both events are designed to entice additional shoppers into our town centre in the lead-up to Christmas.

Consultation for London Luton Airport expansion

There are just under two weeks left of London Luton Airport's public consultation.

​The consultation, about its proposed long-term expansion, runs until 16 December. Proposals include a second terminal north of the runway and extensive new airfield infrastructure - in preparation for the airport's growth to 32 million passengers a year by 2039.

 

Also proposed are a third station and extension for the Luton DART fast transit from Luton Airport Parkway station to the new terminal, plus on- and off-site highway improvements.
