PHILADELPHIA – The American Athletic Conference released the All-Conference Teams today. Temple defensive end Arnold Ebiketie was selected to the second team while Jadan Blue was named an Honorable Mention.

Ebiketie was a welcome installment for the Temple defense this season. Early in the season, he won AAC defensive player of the week for his performance against USF. Ebiketie registered a scoop and score touchdown, forced a fumble, and recorded 3.5 tackles for loss in the contest. In the road matchup against Tulane, Ebiketie notched one sack to go along with two tackles for loss. Against UCF, he tallied another sack and a forced fumble to his season total while also leading the team in tackles. The redshirt junior recorded a sack in four out of six games this season. Ebiketie had 22 QB pressures and 14 QB hurries this season, which both ranked in top ten in the AAC. Ebiketie graded out as the ninth best pass rusher (88.3) in the conference, according to Pro Football Focus.

Blue led the receiving corps for the Owls this year, leading the team in all major statistical categories. Blue finished the season with 41 receptions totaling 381 receiving yards and five touchdowns, while also handling kick return duties. The redshirt junior recorded at least four receptions in every game this season. Blue had back-to-back standout games against USF (9-60-2) and Memphis (13-120-3) in which he tied his career-high in receptions and set a new career-high in receiving TDs, making him the first Temple receiver to have 3 or more receiving TDs in a single game since Robby Anderson did so in 2013. For the season, Blue ranked second in the conference in receptions per game (6.8) while also ranking in the top five in touchdowns per game (0.8).

This was the first all-conference selection for Ebiketie. Blue earned second-team recognition a year ago.
