2016: The Year of the Mantle | Rev. Samuel Rodriguez

Rev. Samuel Rodriguez a.k.a. "Pastor Sam"

The following is the Word of the Lord for 2016 from a wonderful, powerful man of God, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez! He is the pastor of New Season Christian Worship Center in Sacramento, CA; the President of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference; the author and host of The Lamb’s Agenda on TBN; and the leader and teacher of the “His Panic” movement: creating panic in the heart of the devil because we are true, born again, blood bought believers coming, declaring, moving, and acting in the name of Jesus Christ! You can connect with him at PastorSam.com and Latinoevangelicals.com, follow him on Twitter @rev_rodriguez and @nhclc, and “like” him on Facebook!

Elisha was plowing with the twelfth team. Elijah went over to him and threw his cloak across his shoulders and then walked away. (1 Kings 19:19)

Push That Plow, Break That Ground, Sow That Seed, For Suddenly...A Mantle

All his life Elisha grew up working the plow, breaking the ground, and sowing the seed.

When it was sunny, Elisha would work the plow, break the ground, and sow the seed.

When it was raining, Elisha would work the plow, break the ground, and sow the seed.

When everything was right in his life, Elisha would work the plow, break the ground, and sow the seed.

When things went wrong in his life, Elisha would work the plow, break the ground, and sow the seed.

Then suddenly, a man with a word, a man with a mantle--not just any man, but a man of God that overcame a drought, that overcame assassination attempts, that outran a chariot--showed up and placed his mantle, his inheritance, his authority upon him.

Heaven's agent showed up and placed an anointing on his assignment, activating his destiny, catapulting his purpose.

Just like Elisha, you've been working the plow, breaking ground, and sowing seed.

You worked the plow on sunny days and rainy days.

You broke that ground with sweat and tears.

You sowed that seed when you were blessed and when you were broke.

Just like Elisha in 1 Kings 19:19, if you have been pushing  the plow, breaking the ground and sowing the seed, then the next thing coming your way is nothing other than a double portion!

Why? Because of Galatians 6:9:

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has imagined the wondrous things God has in stored for those who love him! (1 Corinthians 2:9)

So what time is it?

This is the moment for every single person who worked the plow, broke the ground, and sowed the seed, to receive a visit with a deposit from heaven that will change your life!

Something awesome is coming your way!

God is opening doors no man can shut!

God is about to promote you even in the presence of your enemies.

God is about to do a new thing that will make you a living witness of His glory!

Moreover, let me speak to the collective Church.

Many Christians are waiting for Christ to come down while Christ is waiting for His church to stand up!

Jesus is not coming back for a defeated, failing, or discouraged Church. He's coming back for a glorious, holy, thriving Bride.

Here's the word:

You will not be defined by what you are pushing.

You will be defined by Who pushes you!

You will not be known as the man or the woman with the plow.

You will be known as the man or the woman with the mantle!

Your plow season is over.

Your season of pushing is over.

This season will not be defined by what you push.

This season will be defined by what you carry!

What you are pushing today cannot compare to the mantle you will carry tomorrow.

What you are pushing today cannot compare to what God's going to place upon you: a mantle of authority to change the world for the glory of Christ!
